Here you go folks. New Git org and repo. https://github.com/OC-CryptoCurrency/OCP

Rebranding to pure OCP. Original thread and how it began: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801129.0

Github code and wallets:

https://github.com/OC-CryptoCurrency/OCP
https://github.com/OC-CryptoCurrency/OCP/releases
https://github.com/OC-CryptoCurrency/OCP/releases/tag/1.0.2
Boostrap files/Chain snapshots: http://pc.cd/6sl7

Specifications:

Ticker: OCP

Block time: 5 minutes

Block reward: 50 OCP with 4 year halving

Maximum supply: 21 million OCP

Proof Of Work algorithm: SHA256T

P2P Port: 8881

RPC Port: 8882

About OCP:

OCP was announced February 22nd and launched March 1st 2017 (unix time 1488326400). There was no premine and the block reward for the first 500 blocks was 0, making the first four days of mining with 0 payout to prevent low difficulty instamine. The project was taken over by the community in the first days, developing additional services like block explorers, mining software and social networks. There is no roadmap for this project. Forking the code and developing new features is encouraged.

This cryptocurrency features a unique reward structure. Paying 0 reward for Proof Of Stake rewards, a PoS block is mined only when a transaction paying the network tx fee is present in the memory pool. Therefore the PoS reward is fees only while the PoW reward is the coinbase transaction plus fees.

The idea behind the reward structure:
- PoW miners get paid by the network for spending energy and securing the network
- PoS miners (stakers) get paid by people using the network (paying transactions fees) in the beginning that is practically zero, but the expenses of running a full node while the network is young is also close to zero (incentive to run a full node grows as the network grows or more accurately, when transaction volume grows)
- Long term competition develops in the fee market between the miners and stakers, pushing the price of fees downwards for the users.

@KimBasinger ignoring my msg so i guess moving to a new forum thread might be in order. "ups this is the new thread" In case of miracles the old threead will get locked.

How to proceed with your wallet update.

1. Shut down your wallet
2. Go to data dir (see here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory) and look for onecoin dir
3. Linux users rename .onecoin to .ocp
4. Windows users rename Onecoin to OCP
5. OCP conf file with nodes (put it into OCP data dir): https://github.com/OC-CryptoCurrency/OCP/releases/download/v1.0.2/oc.conf

Coin code is intact only cosmetic work was done.

Have fun.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Dear BitcoinTalk community please understand that this still is s community based project launched initally by an unknow developer that is now gone in the wind. Who knows maybe it was satoshi himself going by the nickname KimBasinger. I dont know who he/she is and there is no reply from him/her. Myself and @krile simply said along the line (check thread link at the end of this post)  that we will help rebrand it from the ponzi onecoin name to pure OC as there is no hope for that coinname in true cryptoland. We are not commiting fully to this project. We will help out when time allows but we are not here to manage the community or to make this a sucsessfull cryptocurrency. There was no ICO, no premine, no fundraising. Maintaining and developing a coin, getting it listed on exchanges, building service layers is a costly and time consuming venture. If you feel like showing support or fund some work you are free to do so (check end of OP for OC and BTC donation address),

To summarize there are no bounties, no marketing bounties, there is no premine of the OC to incentivize community so dont PM me or @krile for translation job , if you wanna translate the thread you can do so freely but there is no translation bounties. If you wanna get involved you are free to do so, you dont need anyones permission.

In order to catch up on how this started read the original thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801129.0. I know its a long thread but hey i we cant do the reading job for you.

Tnx for reading this. I may bump it along the line so it remains clear. Best of everything to everyone. Cheers

This aint onecoin now. Its just OC.  If i have to associate it to something it will be @ocminer the owner of SuprNova pools.
Essentially its just keeping my promise https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1801129.msg19253235#msg19253235

It aint my coins, codebase was not chaanged, no consensus changes, only cosmetic work on logo and replacment of onecoin to oc.

So to say it again it aint my coin, it will be community driven or it will die. Regarding the exchanges, i was not the one that arranged listing on TradeSatoshi or CoinExchange so i really dont see a reson why is should be the one handling it all.  Anyone still mining or staking this can open a support ticket to these two exchanges and inform them of the nee thread and rebranding. @hirokazu  you can do that as well.

Cheers.

By having 0 reward on POS , it will discourage people to hold the coin. Then it will be dumped in the market and the price will spiral downward.

By having 0 reward on POS , it will discourage people to hold the coin. Then it will be dumped in the market and the price will spiral downward.

From the original thread
Quote
Reward scheme:

Proof of Work:
- NO PREMINE
- 0 REWARD until height 500 (approx 3 days, to avoid lowdiff instamine and to allow everyone to get ready)
- After block 499, reward is 50 COINS.
- Halving every 4-8 years (every 420480 blocks, see below for explantion why it is not exact when the halving happens)

Proof of Stake:
- NO REWARD, ONLY TRANSACTION FEES
- A Stake will occur ONLY IF there is a transaction in the mempool that is paying the fee

Because of unique reward structure - "no reward pos blocks", the total amount is not exact:
Case A: Nobody makes a single transaction in the entire liftime of the network, meaning all the blocks were PoW, creating rewards along the way, making the total supply 42 milion.
Case B: There is always a transaction in the mempool, keeping the average block time at 5 minutes, blocks are distributed 50:50 between PoW:PoS, totaling the supply at around 21 milion.
Case C: Things balance somewhere in between, the total supply is still predictable in the medium term <<<--- Most likely scenario

The idea behind the reward structure:
- PoW miners get payed by the network for spending energy and securing the network
- PoS miners (stakers) get payed by people using the network (paying transactions fees) in the begining that is practically zero, but the expenses of running a full node while the network is young is also close to zero (incentive to run a full node grows as the network grows or more accurately, when transaction volume grows)
- Long term competition develops in the fee market between the miners and stakers, pushing the price of fees downwards for the users.

Since this type of PoS reward sheme i never saw before this coin cought my eye i guess it needs to pass the test of time first before we jump to conclusions.

This is how proof of stake rewards looks like in OC.

Block reward are the fees in the mem pool.

For example i took the PoS block that rewarded 0.00012 OC.

No relationship, only similar name. That was a reason coin was rebranded OC. It is no longer called Onecoin.

hi, ive noticed on the explorer, that the block found times are no where near 5minutes like there supposed to be, can someone please explain to me why....cheers...if there not spot on 5minutes each , ive seen them at 20minutes each at times then its not worthwhile for me to pool mine

edit..this is going effect the half reward block at four years calculation at 5minutes per block
edit..are we being denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) - can someone prove we are not

edit..holyshit Block #76035 took 49minutes to pool mine 49minutes , I was in at 0.00001400 last year , when asics weren't mining ZEC back then the return I kept buying OC sha256t from I/o , even at the low price now, I wont be buying anymore OC, all in at cold storage

Blocktime doesnt mean that that block will actually get mined or staked. If diff goes up and a big miner drops the rest of the miners will have to deal with the difficulty.
When it comes to pos blocks at OC those only happen if there is a tx fee in the mempool.

Pure community driven crypto as its suppose to be.

Since the project is just a re-branding, does this mean there will be no ICO will be held.
Does the coins also available to be trade in exchange already?

Someone with wrong time on the PC.
It can be a problem for him/her if he/she is solomining, but for the network it's a non-issue.

Will the project be listed on other exchanges?

We have no problem with exchanges listing OC. Simple fact there is no developer premine or ico funds for premium exchange venture.
If OC survives and passes the test of time it will do so with a pure open source spirit.

Hey, web developer & marketer here. I came across this project some time ago, & love the open source spirit of it. My buddy and I are getting started on the website build for the coin tonight should have it up and running in the next 48 hrs.

Really looking to get this project some traction as it seems trading has been dead for some time. Anyone interested in joining us to get this coin going again?

Welcome to the New OC Coin!

A little about whats going on here and whats in store for OC.

OC is an open-source coin created by an anonymous satoshi-like dev in early 2017. OC was announced February 22nd and launched March 1st 2017 (unix time 1488326400). There was no premine and the block reward for the first 500 blocks was 0, making the first four days of mining with 0 payout to prevent low difficulty instamine. The project was taken over by the community in the first days, developing additional services like block explorers, mining software and social networks.

Over time progress on the project stalled and the coin was all but dead until we decided to bring the project new life. To grow the coin to its fullest potential.

Over the next few weeks we will be developing the following:

-New Whitepaper
-New Branding
-New Website
-New Full Roadmap
-Masternode Block Rewards
-Full wallet developments

This project has always been community driven and open source. We dont own it, there was never a premine or dev fund, we are not hijacking this project to be our own, only using our talents and skills to help bring this project to life and we invite all those in the community to do the same.

If youre interested in helping make this happen and take this coin to the big leagues, send a dm to admin and lets work!

hi, ive been POS mining for a long time and never has my INTERNET SECURITY software popped this up until today,
HIGH an intrusion attempt by 192.99.19.160 was blocked 7/3/2018 3:44:40PM BLOCKED
IPS Alert Name  System Infected:Miner.Bitcoinminer Activity 11
Attacking Computer 192.99.19.160,8881
Destination Address  MYPC (192.168.0.2,49604)
I hope theres no key logger built into it  //the ips alert name not the wallet
I have no rpc ports open in config, that rpc port is not even under default commands in OC wallet
im a bit reluctant to enter my encryption password to stake , all the best

Hi the wallet itself is malware free it does have setgenerate mining function integrated so that may cause a flag in some AV products.
What you experienced is something else. The IP you posted appears to be hosted at OVH and is associated with quite a few altcoin full nodes.
I have no idea where you managed a scrss reference about keylogger and a remote network intrussion attempt.

This IP 192.99.19.160 is not mine but its seen on the OC node list. You can simply block it in your firewall. My bets guess is that the server has some malware on itCan really do anything about it This is P2P network. About your rpc port comments dont really know what you mean if traffic on port 49604 has reached your local computer you might wanna check your rouoter and disable uPNP or of you have port 49604 nat-ed to your local machine for some reason but my best guess is that you have uPNP enabled on your router.

the node with the mentioned IP above , your PC is System Infected: Miner.Bitcoinminer Activity 11
Description
This signature detects PUA.Coinminer activity on the infected machine.

Additional Information
PUA.Coinminer is a detection for a file based cryptocurrency miner that runs on your system. These miners consumes enormous CPU resources, making computer use sluggish. If you haven't downloaded the file it may be brought onto your system through various sources like bundled in PUA, Exploitation etc. If you find this signature hitting its expected that a miner is hosted on your system.

best xxx is on legit //videobox....com

Btw PUA stans for potencially unwanted appplication. Most security apps flag any crytop mining or staking application as PUP. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potentially_unwanted_program

ive reinstalled o/s and OC wallet backed up, all sync, I used the same password to send all OC to exchange , then after reinstall, and returning OC to my wallet 1DKCuNppGv1gx........   "The passphrase entered for the wallet decryption was incorrect"   ,,, this thing is cursed all after this new occ website
I should kept everything in exchange - 71858   .... ,,ive been using the same password for all my POS staking  Shocked

my 5cents worth to all keep it in the exchange
I will try later

my password is over 35characters,,,i suspect this new website crew have something to do with this, the timing is too convenient

I will add my two cents here. There is nothing wrong with OC code its clean as a whistle. Alert keys have been long removed from any popular crypto. The new team members havent even touched the source code but feel free to check yourself https://github.com/OC-CryptoCurrency/OC/commits/master since last commit was from @krilson and this git repo will remain the official git for OC.

I do however have some setbacks around your NIS of yours I am guessing it stands for Norton Internet Security . About 20 years ago i actually used that piece of shizzz as well.Today i would never never never have that crapware on same computer as a crypto wallet holding anything. I dont have an answer for your 35 pwd long encryption problem but i have seen people messup encryption keys with less charackters.

How can one even modify ones wallet encryption password over a blockchain it just doenst work that way.

If the Oc address you posted is your wallet the coins are still on it https://chainz.cryptoid.info/oc/address.dws?1DKCuNppGv1gxxbmTctHGMVMaz4pRXpH1j.htm so this clearly is a password problem and i wish i could help out but you already know there is nothing i can do. All i can hope for is that you have a typo somewhere in that 35 character password or a bug in your password manager sincer i kinda dooubt you keep that kind of password in memorry.

Again there hasnt been a single line of coin code change since 24 Oct 2017.

Hope you get your wallet pass issue sorted out.

addnode=220.245. //original thread list addnode ip by KimBasinger ANN first page
so obviously my concerns are more than yours

bitcoin is sha256d (sha256 over 80 bytes + another sha256 over 64)
this is just triple, so an additional sha256 round.

OC structured protocol unique rewards. I wish to take over the project in the early days, the development of additional services such as explorers blocks, software and social exploitation. Good luck Smiley

$OCPhas been added to SatoExchange voting page.

How to vote for OCP?

1. Register at SatoExchange http://satoexchange.ocprotocol.com (yes its an affiliate link to Sato)
2. Get some $SATX coins/tokens as those are required to get 5 monthy free votes
3. Want to cast more votes beyond the 5 monthly free ones. Each additional vote = 20 $SATX
4. $SATX can be bought with BTC, ETH and USDT (erc20 and trx version).

OCP is on Bololex.com voting list.

Register (invite) : https://bololex.com/trading/sessions/signup/3HDS9HA12NSG7B9W

To vote for free you need to connect/verify your telegram account.

HOW TO VOTE
Users should have a Bololex account to vote. Each user can vote once a day, without any preconditions. To vote more, the user should have a trade of any value done in the past 30 days. Plus, a verification through Telegram account should be completed from the “Profile” section of your account. Note, that you must be also following our global Telegram community. For voting , each user is given 5 energy, which is refilled by 1 per hour. Users can also purchase energy using BOLO token. Each vote depletes energy based on the number of votes cast within an hour, the more you vote, the more energy is depleted per vote. To check the cost per one vote, have a look at the heating meter.

HOW TO WIN
After each round top 5 coins will receive hexa badges based on their place, 5 hexa badges for 1st place down to 1 hexa badge for the 5th place. The badge is granted only in case of collecting a minimum of 500 votes. Once 10 badges are collected, Bololex will start the listing process, which takes 1-3 working days, if no technical issues arise. Yet, if the coin/token owner does not provide technical assistance or the promised airdrop, Bololex will not be able to complete the listing. If an asset fails to collect the minimum number of votes (500) for two consecutive rounds, it may be removed from voting. Similarly, any scammers and imposters will also be filtered and eliminated from voting.

EARNING AND AIRDROPS
After a coin/token gets listed we will distribute its airdrop. The distribution will be done evenly among casted votes. If you vote for a specific coin/token more, you will get a larger portion of the airdrop. The total amount of the airdrop will be shown in the list.

HOW TO GET LISTED
Bololex invites every coin or token to participate in our voting program and get listed with the help of their active community. Just fill out the voting list form and our specialist will guide you afterwards. A coin/token will be listed on Bololex once 10 hexa badges are gathered and no technical issues arise.

I made a video on Youtube for this currency. I like some of the features it has. I think it's an interesting project. I like the stake and POW feature, but more importantly I like the way the staking works and wanted to see this play out more.

Just so we are clear for the readers who stop here and read this, let me help them understand your reply.

If I'm understanding you correctly you're saying that the exchange doesn't have a lot of customers and is how you are referencing BlackHole. I hope through my video however that I can at least show the fact that I was able to purchase the coin on that exchange and send it to my wallet. So to be fair to the exchange, they have the same wallet, and there should not be any issues purchasing from them, and transferring the coins to your own node.

I'm not affiliated with Unnamed other then the fact that I have an account and use them from time to time. So I hope I was correct in interpreting what you said.

There are other exchanges, yes, where you can purchase the coin. Keep in mind you don't have to send the coins back to the exchange you purchased them from either.

What I mean is... sure they'll accept your deposits, but good luck trying to get any "profits" OUT from them. Most withdraws fail and support is non-existent. So... they're a blackhole.... shit goes in and never comes out.

yes DOGEs are no deal. Have failed wd's with that already. And when I'm done liquidating everything on there, I'll soon find out if it's the same for BTC and LTC.
