ok i messed out and i need a replacement atx cable. are all modular atx cables the same? i can get a modular atx cable from a seasonic psu and use it on my ocz zx series PSU (assuming similar capacity) ?

also i might need to get a spare PSU, is a seasonic x series 1000w/1250w Gold and x 1000w platinum suitable on the avalon batch 1?

Unless it's burned beyond recognition, you could just lay the cables next to each other and check.

The plugs on the PSU will be pinned so that the shape of each hole depends on the type of connection (neutral, 12v, etc).  If your cord fits, then it should work fine.  Typically you have black (neutral), yellow (12v) and orange (3.3v).  If those match you should be fine.
