I may be paranoid but I will never put such software on my phone. Where is the guarantee that this is not a spy? You will pay a few cents per day but will have full control over your device. Long found a vulnerability of Android. You give yourself the ability to access your accounts. Is it worth it? In 99% of cases people are to blame for the fact that hackers gain access to their accounts. I think this is a similar case.

I avoid putting software from newly released cryptocurrencies on any of my devices that store my wallets of "proven" currencies, just out of habit. I'm not sure if I'll mess with Electroneum at all, but I still think it's worth looking into, and not necessarily malicious.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I have just downloaded their mining software (i have not CPU or GPU mined in YEARS)..

I have a VERY old laptop, stuck my wallet addy in, selected low end CPU, Europe pool, on starting 'connecting to Cryponight Algorythm popped up for a millisecond then that just disappeared, then blank ?? Also selected one thread.

Electroneumpoolminer.exe *32 (i have windows 7 64 bit) is running in the background and using 60% CPU power Huh

Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks  Huh Huh

Well do you have a dual core CPU in there? One thread on a dual core would be about 50% CPU power...

where i can get the etn wallet address?

Download it from ETN site mate , it will be in PDF format, starts with ETN, it is a split into 3 groups of letters/numbers, be careful when copying it as it may leave a 'space' between them.

Im using xmr-stak gpu miner, i got a gtx 1060. I'm using the settings the program recommended me, but when i start the miner, i can't do anything on my pc anymore. Mouse movement has like 5 seconds delay, is that normal? I wouldn't mind if i know it's not bad for my gpu, could you help?

The Electroneum mobile miner is an 'experience' miner - ie: not really mining. So it won't kill the battery, etc,etc like real mining would.
maybe like minergate, i used minergate app, after 5 minutes myphone is dead,  Grin

I don't see a success with mobile mining. Maybe something like storj into mobile is ok...

this project indeed seems to me a little bit foggy, putting such software on my phone and be under the spot all day long for just few cents is just not worthy , i'm being a little bit suspicious but the truth i m not comfortable with the idea itself

From the video interviews they've posted on their twitter page (twitter.com/electroneum), it appears that the mobile mining part of their project is only a "fake" mining process which only simulates actually hashing/mining. According to them, they designed it to introduce cryptomining to regular people. It won't pay out much, but mobile mining will pay higher than regular PC mining. I guess we also have to wait and see until they release more information.

You can't mine directly to Cryptopia, there are many warnings against doing this on the site. Those coins are lost forever, next time read the warnings and mine to a personal wallet instead.

Electroneum turned out to be one of the most profitable first day mining runs for me. Of course, once the nicehash crowd came in it's not much better than any other altcoins.

guys how do you create an address for ETN to mine on the pools??

on my own i'm using suprnova ETN pool to mine on with my rigs because you don't need personal ETN wallet to mine to on suprnova unlike all other pools.
You mine straight to suprnova pool wallet and then withdraw directly to cryptopia, the best and only working way to mine ETN for now...
