Looking for the market of cryptocurrencies, something appear to me : Bitcoin grows always (with some up and down but growing for sure) and with alts it's more complicate.

One Question : Do you think it's better to sold all the Altcoins and buy BITCOIN ?

Indeed, there is no big risk with investing in bitcoin. With altoquines, things are more complicated. Here you need to know everything about the coins in which you are going to invest your money, however, this is not a guarantee of complete success. Altkoins are very volatile and poorly predictable.

I think we should not sell all the altcoins for bitcoin purchases, because it is not correct from the point of view of money management.

alts are definitely higher risk than Bitcoin. If you are looking for long term and less risky investment then bitcoin is probably the way to go, but if you want to achieve 10x return then alts will have that opportunity but it could also halve your investment in no time. I will put a significant portion into bitcoin and have say 10-20 % in alts.

Smiley Yeas each coin has its time and it goes down. But IMHO they rise back after sometime. Its matter of time and patience.

If you want to hold bitcoin for a long time. Very much. If altcoin is valuable, it can continue to hold.

With altcoins you can make quick burst of profit or you can end up making a huge loss within a short period of time. But if you keep holding bitcoins for a longer period of time, chances are you will end up with good sum of profit. Look at the charts. They explain themselves. Try investing 70% of your money on bitcoin and rest to different alt coins. This way you can even up after making any loss.

There can't be a sweeping remark to answer that question. We have to evaluate the ICOs and invest smartly, case by case.

People also trade altcoins because it's more fun and requires more attention...and it can pay off nicely with well-timed trades. Bitcoin is a nice steady earner, alts are risky but provide some nice opportunities to 100% earn.

It really depends to your ability to absorb the risk that entails whether it is bitcoin or alts. If you want to grow your bitcoin you can buy with fiat or you can buy alts and hold and trade it. In my experience, I've grown my btc through trading alts. If you're just holding it, it'll never grow.

If you are wondering about whether or not you should purchase Bitcoin right now, then I would suggest that you start exchanging your coins already.

Bitcoin has a higher chance to go up compared to 99% of the Altcoins out there. You might want to hold some Ethereum as well.

I choose bitcoin over alts, because the advantage of bitcoin from alt is that is has proven security. Bitcoin also has a large store of value lead than the other coins and it is also more accessible.

I think don't sell all your altcoin to purchase bitcoin. I think you can sell your altcoin but not your all altcoin. We must now that many coins will fluctuating. I think if one coin increase the other will be decrease. So, if we have many coins we can use it when we need Smiley

What altcoin did you trade? I prefer to invest bitcoin for long term but if you traded ethereum or litecoin well you should wait because these two has quiet potential increase next year.

Indeed, there is no big risk with investing in bitcoin.

This is a dangerous way of looking at things. Yes, bitcoin is generally more stable and has had more consistent growth than most altcoins, but saying there is "no big risk with investing in bitcoin" is setting yourself up for a big disappointment. Bitcoin is inherently risky. Bigger potential rewards bring with them bigger risks of potential losses too.

Keeping both is good, remember when investing cryptocurrency, it's best to diversify your investment. It's good to keep some bitcoin and some altcoin because a lot of altcoin shows potential too. And some altcoin's market demand is high too.

how about both of them ?
the reason altcoin exist is to find a way to get more bitcoin,
of course altcoin is more complicated comparing to Bitcoin because it's very easy to get manipulated by the dev himself.
while bitcoin need a lot of money and users to manipulated it.
just buy an altcoin if you think the price will be pumped in the future, and then sell if after you get profit from it.
it's not really good for me just to hold Bitcoin alone
