I think it is not possible, you would have to create some kind of "LAN" cryptocurrency, but it totally doesnt make sense for me, why would you use some cryptocurrency that is only available to use between few computers connected with one, same internet?

In runs in the internet world so i dont see any possibilities being it useful in an offline transactions. Offline wallets maybe but you really cant move around the money without out internet. Because you have to have internet in order to mine those things. Even these infrastructures have to make way in the web to mine the blocks and they really cant do it in offline basis.

Technically, this is possible. This has been proven by many users. But no one will want to do this and complicate their lives. Btkoin is the currency for online payments

Technically it's possible? Yes it's possible but there's no confirmation from the blockchain network if there's no internet. We know that bitcoin needs internet in able to be used. And that's why we can't use bitcoin if we are going to use it as an offline currency. All crypto's require internet in able to send to other wallets so if you really want to use bitcoin offline, you are doing it wrong.
No it is not possible to use bitcoin like offline currency because it is not regular currency and the people in ordinary places and small markets will never accept bitcoin as their payments. So I think that is not possible till date. May be after a long time in the far future it becomes possible but there are no signs for accepting bitcoin by the small communities people. They even do not know the name of bitcoin.

I'm looking forward to the machine that accept bitcoin, because if we used this tools they can easily used bitcoin in different parts of the world, therefore they can used our bitcoin to simply buy items or goods even services.
Since bitcoin had no tools to used it like offline currency it's better to convert it first into cash for the mean time before used it into the market.
We are still in an early phase and as time goes on, innovations will start popping up and we will start seeing much more usage with ATMs, debit cards, POS and so on and so forth. For now, except for few online wallets with cards, the chances of still making use of what we have offline is still very limited and we may just have to stick with it until more solutions keep coming.

No it is not possible to use bitcoin like offline currency because it is not regular currency and the people in ordinary places and small markets will never accept bitcoin as their payments.
Never say not possible on technical aspects. Century ago, human cannot fly, but we are using flights now. So, expect bitcoins to be used as fiats for offline usages in very very near future.

But the big question is that which company would come forward to do so and how many people will trust it.Since there is no central authority for bitcoin being a decentralized currency,it seems highly impossible for that to happen.

It will not work out well when it comes to being a viable option for mass use. Everything you do will all come down to you exchanging private keys, and for that reason it will always be based on trust. If we browse through this thread, then we'll see that someone came up with something similar to what you're talking about (Google opendime) and despite them stating that it's 'bullet proof', I am not exactly sure how well it works out in reality. I would never ever trust something like that personally -- I just trust on my own cold wallets, and that's really it.
No I don’t have any idea to invest my bitcoin in any offline business and I think in my country it is not possible, because lots of people do not know anything about bitcoin, how they can accept bitcoin as real currency. So I think for me bitcoin is not usable for any offline business.

For me offline business means business in just my local markets because of the low investment and that’s why bitcoin is not the solution.

Bitcoin as offline currency is not possible at the present. When things gets more advancement we might get offline access to bitcoin. Right now local stores accepting bitcoin has increased a lot more than the past days with the growth in each and every sector based on the blockchain technology.

The best answer to what your friend have asked is as simple telling the truth. It can’t but you don’t have to worry about that if that makes him more uncomfortable with bitcoin knowingly that he can’t used it on that way then let him be. Does it really matters? Because the last time I know about this generation we are more online than offline in more of the time. It’s like we can’t even live without internet nowadays. So be honest to him and that be the best answer.

Not possible, but the world is getting so connected that it shouldn't be a problem in the future.
Well you are right now a lot of the people are getting in the bitcoin and they are holding the bitcoin ad the side source of eh bitcoin so I think it is having the lots of the offline wallets as well. The bitcoin is now earn use even if you are holding the bitcoin and the bitcoin now having the offline bitcoin the price and the value of the bitcoin will give you the bright side of the bitcoin.

Few days ago a friend asked me this questions. But i cannot understanding that how to i give him answer. At last i said him that, bitcoin is an online currency. Only this currency used in online marketplaces. It is not possible to use it in offline marketplace like offline currency.

But what is your best answer of this question?
It is not something you can use offline as you most definitely need to access your wallet online anyway. However, there are so many ways you can cash out in fiat if use any available exchange around you. Over time as we keep developing, time may come when we will start seeing more debit cards linked to an account and then many stores or merchants accepting it and then we may start enjoying not having to connect online all the time to make use of the currency.

Bitcoin is digital currency and it can't be used in offline marketplace. You can use bitcoins for making payment to your online transactions only. There are some offline stores that do accept payment in bitcoin maybe in future you can make payment with bitcoins with POS machine but as of now you are limited to use it for online transactions only.

I think that the best way to use bitcoin this investment and store their savings in биткoинa. but in fact, in real life use bitcoin as currency will be imprudently, especially considering the fact that after few years your condition can increase in several times. perhaps this is a risk, but but it is justified.

If you are asking it for now in our generation, my answer is not possible. Because, we all knew that bitcoin can only be used through internet connection and nothing else. Meaning, no internet bitcoin is useless for sure.
That actually sums it up. No internet, no bitcoin. It still all balls down to how developments start coming up eventually and how readily we can easily convert it to fiat which I see as some of the things that would change pretty fast in upcoming years.

We will start seeing cards connected to wallets being used over time and then being debited as you convert to fiat or make payments offline without having to connect directly to your wallet online. Some have done it and much more coming as time goes on.

At the moment it's not possible to use bitcoin like offline currency. To achieve the same fiat convenience, bitcoin has a long way to go. The advantage of bitcoin is obvious but there are still many disadvantages. Hope we can see this in the near future.

Yes, it has got more advantages and few disadvantages which makes it unused and reduce the growth in terms of popularity. It's not possible to achieve the fiat convenience in the short or long run until each and every people gets educated to some level. The name itself shows it cannot function without internet, most of the time it's represented as online money.

Nowadays is not yet possible to be use as offline currency. It is only can be use for online electronic payment for the meantime.
But who knows someday bitcoin can be use even offline but I don't know how it will happen.

bitcoin can never be used for offline currency, because bitcoin has no physical like fiat currency and and every transactions of bitcoin is always need a network, so it's certainly a bitcoin can only be used for online transactions.

It obviously can function as offline 'currency', but the major drawback is that you then solely depend on trust, which is something that has no actual value in the real world with the sheer number of con artists.

Take loaded physical Bitcoins as an example. These allow you to transact offline (off-chain) without actually needing an internet connection ~ you just hand your physical coin to Joe, and Joe hands you whatever you want from him.

The physical coins are nothing more than an attribute making it easy to exchange private keys back and forth. You could just use a paper wallet or whatever else with the private keys printed/engraved on it.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Bitcoin could not be used as offline currency. It is created as a decentralized currency by satoshi uncontrolled by any central authority.
Since there is no central authority, there is no chance for it to be printed physically as a paper note or as a physical coin and could not be issued for circulation.
Also,we could not expect any private organization to issue such physical coins and even if it issues,we could not be able to say that all bitcoin users would trust and use it instead of bitcoins.

So,the only possible option left is to use bitcoin just as a digital currency in online only.

We know that internet is most important element for bitcoin. Without internet, we can't think the process of bitcoin. It is an online based crypto currency. It is not designed for offline. For transaction and use it, internet connection is must be needed.
To this day I don’t think so that bitcoin can be used like paper currency, because you can use your local or any other paper currency anywhere but in bitcoin it is not possible till date because most of the people do not even know about bitcoin how they can accept bitcoin and the other problem is this that the restaurants, hotels, shops and any other place have no idea especially in my community to accept bitcoin. Therefore I think that using bitcoin like offline currency is not possible.
To this day and even in future will it ever be used as a paper currency. That is definitely not possible and that is why it is called digital. Over time, things would change and it would take either converting to fiat maybe via an online exchange like we already have now, or possibly just making use of cards for withdrawal or payment via POS. These are the changes that we will end up getting as time goes on.

I think bitcoin can not be used offline currency, because almost all bitcoin transactions are done online. Explain to him that bitcoin is a digital currency that can only be used online.
Well I want to know why it cannot be use as the offline currency because now everything and the time to the bitcoin use the opposite according to your thinking and the way of the making money now all the people are using the bitcoin as the payment and they are investing and paying at the same time so for me the bitcoin is the best for the payment and the offline wallet will help us in this regard.

Maybe all of you will be amazed because I say Yes. We can use it even offline. For example let's take this, we have cold wallet where we store bitcoins and we have to pay something that costs for example 10 bitcoin (we have this 10 bitcoin in wallet too, not more or less). Now what we do, we give private keys and etc to pay someone, that's all, we used it offline.
