i think still there is no one who can able to affect just the bitcoin while hacking of bitcoin is impossible. there are some news about china banning ICO's which give no bad affect to bitcoin rate which proof that no country or single person can hack or affect the rate of bitcoin. bitcoin is very safe and keep your investing in bitcoin without any fear.

I dont think so that bitcoin is hackable because i dont read any news that bitcoin can hack and the security of bitcoin is very strong to hack, and i agree that it is possible to hack any wallet where our bitcoin is keep when we only post it on social media because if we post it on social media like facebook that there is 15k many hackers will have interest on it and anytime hackers can hack it.

Wow, I guess you can try my wallet to hack Grin
Nope, bitcoin wallets are not possible to hack unless you know that wallets private key, that is an exchanger wallet ( still they are secured but they don't let you hold your wallets private key) or you own that bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin wallets have their private key or like an signature that signifies it is yours.

All is hackable, above all if it is a online system.
But i think that is not easy to hack the bitcoin system, and the team is constantly work to make secure their systems

Its because we have security but i didn't know how the hacker hack the wallet easily.

if anything has an advantage so there has an exchange disadvantage.

Bitcoin is not hackable. It is the system that holds or secures bitcoin which is hackable. But usually it is due to the owner’s negligence why his account has been hacked. These systems are mostly designed to be hack proof unless of course we became lazy by leaving our accounts exposed.

I also don't know where is a main security of bitcoin, but why are you asking that kind of question? If someone would know then why should he/she share that secret? I think that is not good to advertise here how secure our bitcoin wallet is, we also need to be more double secure our bitcoin wallet since we all know that it is possible to hack our account because it is also an online system.

Yes Bitcoin is hackable buts their is a way on how to secure your Bitcoin you need to install this apps in your devises Google authenticator this apps could secure all your sites and profit, you only have to do is  scan the code and then enable the 2FA and that's it your account now is secured, Everytime you log in to your account just put the six digit code so you can log in successfully.

Definitely agree with this. My friends are doing the same. Everything can be hacked easily nowadays but depends on the gravity of how things can be hacked. It depends on how it is secured by the developers and the owners of the account as well. The same thing goes with bitcoin.

Why not, bitcoin is hackable and a 12 years kid laptop is hackable too. Everything that carry’s algorithm, that is connected to internet, is hackable. It’s simple fact that we made algorithm which is always having lines of codes and can be altered at any time to break into it.

It’s not about whether it hackable or not. It’s about how secure it is! As far as I know the security depends on where are you keeping the bitcoin, whethe it is web based wallet, hardware wallet etc.

Bitcoin cannot be hacked but websites can be hacked and the accounts can be hacked. If a virus enters one computer and will stole important details such as your private key or you may registering on a wrong website with phishing links then you may lost your bitcoin when intruders accessed your wallet. But there is nothing to fear as long as you are very careful that rare cases cannot happen to you.

Bitcoins can't be added to your account like in bank. You would have to modify all the nodes somehow. The only possibility is a majority of hashrate. It is called a 51% attack. It is possible, however it is too expensive to perform so it's not worth it. Bitcoin is safe in general, especially if you have control over your private keys (software or hardware wallet).

indeed to a security problem if we know and understand the technology surely will say that in general the bitcoin is very secure. Because it has a very system bitcoin complex and well enough to avoid the presence of hacking. But one thing can indeed give the worst thing for us is that when we can't control or securing the secret key from the wallet it is certain we will lose all of the funds.

BITCOIN has been hacked 1,000's of times, and people have lots 10's of millions of USD

There is so much ignorance here, I think not 1 in 1,000 on this board understands anything about BTC.

Say the 51% quote above, it has NOTHING to do with hashrate, it has to do with nodes, and that +51% of the nodes must accept the longest chain for a transaction to be confirmed, nothing to do with the subject at hand. Sure if someone controlled +51% of the nodes then they could create their own transactions and that would seriously screw the block-chain, but the problem is that ain't going to happen cuz only one chinese miner controls 51% of the nodes, and he aint' going piss in his own soup bowl.

Ten's of thousands of software people world-over are working to crack the private-keys, and targeted cracking already exists the problem is cracking high-value accounts.

The average BTC account if valid is 0.05 BTC, and its what 2% of the space, Randomly creating Private-keys and looking for money doesn't work, so then one must focus on addresses with money and try to 'guess/calculate' the private-key for that address, that is where the real hacking is going on.

The majority of people on this board, would give their BTC to an exchange for a 'free shit coin' this is how most BTC is lost, not by hacking, but by idiots trying to get free shit-coins (FORKS).

Well the wallets are hackable and the blockchain is forkable.  The wallets can basically be hacked if we get reckless and somehow loose our private keys or we give it out to people unknowingly through social engineering or it gets stolen from us.

Now everyone is investing heavily on Bitcoin. But can anyone hack this Bitakayena? If Bitcoin means hacks, then there will be a lot of damage. Where is Bitcoin's hidden security?

Cryptography is what is behind everything in bitcoin.

There is always a chance that someone can guess your passphrase or your private key. There are actually projects that are actively trying to do this called bitcoin colliders, however they have very rarely succeeded. And out of the few times they have succeeded some think that it's fraudulent.

With the right security measures, bitcoin is much more secure than traditinoal banking or credit cards.

guys, anything can be hacked. including bitcoin, but I know from some information that I can, that to hack the bitcoin is difficult. bitcoin parties will continue to make perfect security to keep from being hacked.
not just from bitcoin security and even hacking sometimes comes from us carelessly keeping a private key.

If I was running BTC-ORG I would have bumped BTC to SHA-512, or SHA-1024 a long time ago, and that CRYPTO will not be broken for many years to come.

you don't understand what SHA hashing is that is why you are not running bitcoin and have no affiliation with the development of it Wink
i you knew the basics you would have never doubted that SHA256 is going to be unbreakable for many many years and also SHA is not the main security related stuff that bitcoin uses, that is ECDSA...
