Alternatively, do the same plan except have a third-party escrow hold the bitcoin during that period of time.

Listing that option in case OP is not familiar with the option of escrow.

For both of your safety, avoid using paypal for bitocoin. it is actually illegal for paypal to buy/sell bitcoin using paypal.

i got scammed once using paypal and when I dispute this paypal said the transaction is not covered and they closed the case..
