Hi all,

Been here since the beginning of this coin but I always had issues syncing the wallet since it's nevcer connecting unless I leave it for a few hours than it connects or I connect to a VPN then it almost immediately connects.

I have added nodes to conf file even now I decided to use Yannic live node list;
addnode=37.187.168.150:9981
addnode=154.49.213.96:9981
addnode=37.59.109.55:9981
addnode=51.15.58.122:9981
addnode=133.130.107.34:9981
addnode=133.130.66.167:9981
addnode=150.95.173.81:9981
addnode=153.125.129.240:9981
addnode=217.79.67.246:9981

Still same issue, is there a reason why this is the only coin I can't seem to be able to connect to?

If you were to mine something with that, this would be the coin. Or cryply. As far as I know they're the most forgiving with low-end CPUs.
You won't make money short term, but prices could go up enough in the future to make it worth mining. The thing is it's a bit of a gamble.

A few months ago the price of a YTN was $ 0.5, and now only $ 0.03 worth has been reduced by more than 10 times, it is difficult to return to the original value.

Does that mean it wouldn't be worth mining with that CPU?

YTN's original price before coinsmarkets fall was around $0.12. When CM fall STEX became the only available exchange - then pump and dump happens.
After that people jump in and net hash tripled. STEX Dump + coins from miners lower YTN price to current price. It's hard to gain buyer's trust again.

Without active developments and/or passionate community, this is what happens to most coins. It's hard to stay relevant, especially in the sea of projects now.

I realize the price is actually way straight down for Yenten. Is the dev still around and it has the plan already been released however? or will be Yenten lifeless?

The dev is as always : a mysterious genius Smiley

No one knows who he is, but he's following this topic / update announcement page / accept pull-request on Github

In short : he's not the king of the communication, but he's with us Smiley

I will write here what I wrote on Discord : my opinion on what we need for Yenten. What do you think guys, do you share my opinion ?

1/ MINING
The big strength of Yenten is that it is a CPU mining coin : everybody can mine
--> we need to improve the mining part, by making it easier
--> maybe we could improve the wallet, by allowing the Pool mining directly in the wallet ? similar to this : https://imgur.com/DsmIDYw

We could also create a "Mining profitability calculator" , similar to this ? https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth?HashingPower=114&HashingUnit=MH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=900&CostPerkWh=0.015&MiningPoolFee=1

If the Mining profitability calculator was integrated to the Wallet, that would be AWESOME  Cool

2/ EXCHANGES
I'm not sure we need more exchanges right now : TradeSatoshi is quite good (even if not perfect), and there is no volume on it --> we need more COMMUNICATION in my opinion

3/ COMMUNICATION
That's the key part for me : we need more visibility
Maybe , if someone know a good Twitter Crypto evangelist, with lots of influence, he could try to contact him ?

But overall, Yenten is a great coin, fast, reliable, open to everyone : I'm sure it would interest a lot of people ! When I talk about it around me, I made 3 people mine it  Grin

If you mine cryptonight coin, you should already know that there are ASIC miners there, although cryptonight algo was ASIC resistant at early claim.
I hope yenten is truly ASIC resistant, and will get more popularity due to its algo
