Can you give me more information about the Yenten project? What is CPU mining? How does it work?

Yenten is dead. Go on the [ANN] section and look for cpu mining coin, there is fews good projects with active developers. You can mine any CPU coins with your computer or rent a server.
The key point is the find project with active developers that update they accomplishments frequently.
Yenten was a funny meme coin, but developer abandoned the coin (that always the case with meme coins).

It had a decent community though, such a waste. If he left, he could pass on the mantle to someone else. There is a choice always.

have any news form dev?

Sorry to tell you, but the project is dead because the dev abandoned Yenten and there is no new developer to take care of it.
Miners also switch to differentes coins with better development fondation (not just meme).

that so sad why he left

Total Supply almost full it cant mine anymore  when he make this coin for real use case i think price will rise up very fast

Are you using @yententips on Twitter?
https://twitter.com/yententips

It is convenient because you can send and receive messages with YTN.
For example, you can give prizes to online games.

How to use
1. Follow @yententips (your partner also needs to follow @ yententips)
2.
Code:
@yententips deposit
(YTN address is given and ready)
3.
Code:
@yententips balance
(check balance and receive Rain etc.)
4.
Code:
@yententips help
(command list)

I created a manual for @ yententips. Although it is Japanese, you can read it with google translation.
https://yentencoin.blogspot.com/2018/07/blog-post.html

We compiled information such as manning pool compatible with YENTEN v 2.0.1.

The developer maybe still around.   What I know is he is totally unaccountable.  In that sense, the coin is dead.  Or maybe zombie.  Many people as well are still mining and supporting this coin like zombie.  I would say it is Mining Dead!!

Can the community take over the missing developer ?
Still 5 months, and fews confirmation that the developer will not take care of Yenten.
If no one is continue the development Yenten will be delist from exchanges.

I know Ytenten started with a piece of joke naming the coin after a scam incident in Japan.
The developer just wants to fool people with the coin he develops.

The last joke really went bad.  “consensus.BIP65Height = 198765” and the line after in chainparams.cpp caused a big fork of blockchain in last August, then many miners, pools and exchanges suffered.  There are few more coming near future but hope nothing bad will happen.
There is a message left in the code.  The developer call himself a god, and that was written in Japanese.

It is imperative that the Yenten community takes over development and stop joking in the code.

Dev,

How many confirmations are needed for this coin to mature.
I'm not a dev, but usually observe that 'yenten-cli listtransactions' shows "immature" upto 100 confirmations, for a newly mined block.
After 101 confirmations, the status changes from "immature" to "generate".

You are not a dev??  I noticed you provided CVE-2018-17144 security fix for Yenten wallet.
To my knowledge, it will close what they call "catastrophic" security holes in the wallet.
From your perspectives, when the change will be reflected in the new wallet and released?

I wanted to say that I'm not "conan-equal-newone" in my previous post.
Of course, there are many experts in this Forum,
I think "Dev" is the word for "conan-equal-newone" concerning to Yenten.

Indeed, as you wrote, I forked yenten on GitHub and applied the  CVE-2018-17144 patch,
just as disclosed on Bitcoin's GitHub pages below:
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/commit/696b936aa3ab6f459d0e16f9805eaeb747a0036c
But I'm just playing/studying programming like something puzzle.
As for CVE-2018-17144 fix, I just googled and did almost copy/paste work, as the answer was there.
Also I have no experience aboiut building Windows Qt Wallet binary.
...I have no word for your question...

BTW, another person "u978" had already sent a CVE-2018-17144 fix pull-request 10 days ago, but still not merged, unfortunately.
In June, "conan-equal-newone" responded my/our posts about incorrect mining reward setting (250YTN <-> 50YTN).
I hope conan still has interest for Yenten...
