If you're new to all this and wanting to buy bitcoins on localbitcoins, ignore the 'buy bitcoins online' section and instead go to 'post a trade'. By doing so, you will get a much better deal. eg, today's cheapest 'buy online' price is £495.94 (GBP), whereas you can get them for £478.10  by posting a trade.

Hope this helps someone. Wish I had worked it out sooner. DOH!

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

The only downside is that you need to wait longer for the trade to come up.  Cheesy

True, but if you make sure your trade is the most attractive, you don't have to wait long in my experience.

If your offer is better then the others of course it won't take much time. But even equal to the others offer will take huge amount
