Hello I recently set up my PC which has an intel 5820k and a Asus Strix 970. I would like to mine when I'm not gaming to help pay for future upgrades.

I cannot seem to get 5820k to mine on NIcehash it just says there is a bench mark error. It's currently clocked at 4.2 GHZ athough nicehash claims its still at 3.3.

The 970 will mine but only for about 1 USD a day. They estimated about 2 a day when I looked. I understand they probably over estimate but I figured I would get at least more than half there estimate. Currentl;y the gpu is not overclocked so I would need help doing so.

How should I configure all the two?

Also is nicehash the best option or should I use something else?

if you are new to mining nicehash is the way to go
970 doing 1 usd is actually correct
try old versions of nicehash and see if they work with cpu too
