How can one earn money on the coins that one owns. I know that there are some tokens where you can run masternodes and get interest on this, but are there other ways to make something similar to dividends?

If you have NEO Neo Coin wallet, it will generate coins called GAS without using PC resources if I'm not mistaken. I know it's not same thing what you are asking, but it's a bit similar thing.

Essentially all POS coins will pay you dividends for holding coins in wallets. 👍

You could try searching for those with self earnings coins. I strongly suggest you should just try searching for that in the google because you could also see there which ICO is at trend and you could make analysis  there regarding  which ICO you've  have a higher return in your  investment.
