I'd not expect any refunds soon. They're just winning time.
Exactly. We need a deadline for this shit, or it will just resolve into nothingness, which is probably what they are planning.

OP hasn't been online for 5 days now. He lied about having the btc converted and not being able to refund them. The whole thing reeks of scam.
Then there is prodigits, (who could just as well be OP himself btw), just making sure nobody is actually following through with anything. They are both obviously affiliated in some way, why should I buy that they're not just partners in this scam?
I give this thing until september 15th to be resolved and then I start pushing for JohnK to release OPs personal data. I don't like getting scammed and there are quite a few fun ways to make a scammer's life a living hell if you know where he lives.
OP, if you are honest, here is what you do:
- Get the money back that you moved on fucking august 20th - It seems you payed KnC via Bitpay, so the BTC were converted to $ at the rate of 20th august, which is about $120/btc. - Request a refund from them. They will probably only be able to pay you back the $, for which you then buy back BTC at the current rate of ~$145. - 120 to 145 means we get about 83% of our btc back. - Sucks that this is apparently the only way to resolve this, but get to it for fucks sake, before the exchange rate keeps increasing further. I'm ok with just getting 80% of my btc back, as long as you fucking get it done already.
Anyone else living on the East Coast here and wants to go on a little road trip to OP's house? I'll take a bat (and a ball just in case we get stopped). I am busy till end of September though.

But skip the part with the bat :p Physalis, we have most of OP's personal information, I thought I stripped it down to 2 or 3 possible addresses in the same neighbourhood.

You guys are such a bunch of prissy little ladies. Get your ass in a car, go to his house and take care of it like men! I know this is 2013 and all but seriously, you're all just sitting there waiting for a refund while the OP is out blowing your coin. How tough can a ragingazin be?

So ragin's ID is held by JohnK or someone else?
I think this should be verified immediately if it is/was his real ID (keep it private for now). Than we take it from there.
There are what, 100 people or more in this group buy. I'm only in for 3 btc but I will not stay idle about this just on principle.
The terms of this group-buy have been violated. There should be full refunds immediately. Let's not all wait until it's too late do anything. We should try to get this resolved this week. If we don't hear back anything (satisfactory), ragin's ID should be released to all group buy participators so we can try to get our money back.
This guy lied. And there is no excuse for not making the orders until he did. At this point KNC is able to refund all the funds so this should be done. No way we can wait to hear back beforehand from every 100+ person in the group buy about this before we do anything.

Just for everyone's FYI trying to answer my own question. Sent John this PM: ____________________________ Good day JohnK,
I am a member of RaginAzn's group buy. It is increasingly looking like this is a scam.
I was wondering three things:
1) What information / ID you have of this person.
2) If there was any verification that the ID was in fact this person.
3) Under what conditions you will release this information to all group buy members when it has been firmly established that the terms of the group buy have been broken.
Thank you for your time. I have no immediate plans to do anything, but I do want to make sure that this situation does see a resolution.
Thanks again, glendall

BUMP I remembered CoinHoarder posted this. Hopefully this can help dig up some info RE: My above post I feel so stupid for not following my gut instinct on this one and ordering chips from him.
All these links are from the first 4-5 pages of his Avalon chip group buy. Everyone seems to have settled down when JohnK came in to do escrow, which in hindsight is silly. All chips and hardware is being shipped directly to Ragingazn628, so JohnK can't really help us there. Unless somehow JohnK can get ahold of Avalon/KNC and change the shipping address...
The first post warning of ragingazn: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg1874180#msg1874180
More hard evidence came shortly after in that thread:
Ragingazn628's Hardforum (tried to) scam: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1684647 More on hardforums: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1660014
Ragingazn628's previous heatware account: http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=77909 Ragingazn628's SECOND previous heatware account: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=78739 Ragingazn628's current heatware account: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=79046 (what kind of an honest person would need 3 heatware accounts??)
Ragingazn628's Ebay (88% feedback, which is quite low): http://myworld.ebay.com/toms.technology EDIT: Umm... this is not 88% feedback, perhaps the user in the chip thread posted the wrong link? 2nd EDIT: Maybe that is him, if you go through his seller feedback only, there is an unusual amount of negative feedback- not a huge amount, but it is there.
Ragingazn628's overclock.net account: http://www.overclock.net/u/154962/ragingazn628 (Note: I haven't looked into his posts/dealings on here, I am just providing this for more identification. It is possible there are more shady dealings tied to his account there, but I am not sure.)
PS: I really hope that the picture these links and Ragingazn's disappearance paints doesn't mean what I think they do...
JohnK, any possibility you could change the shipping address on chip/knc orders you made for ragingazn628?Yet another edit: it seems he has magically reappeared right after I posted this... he just bumped the chip thread. Good, I was ready to call the cavalry in. Now I feel bad for posting all this, but it is what it is...

I have sent an email to Stephen. Here is the reply "I just read through the post. I had no idea what was going on as I'm not a member on the forums, and ragnasn was using my paypal to accept payments because his was fucked over. Could you possibly send a pm to prodigits7 to tell him to contact me via this email? Ragnasn isn't going to be home all day (he's my roommate) so I have no way of contacting prodigits7. I want to help get everything sorted out so people stop freaking out :/. Much Appreciated"

Holy fuckballs. We are entrusting some guy who can't afford an apartment himself, and lives with a rommate with tens of thousands of dollars.... Good thing he is in the US and can be pursued legally if this goes sour though.
