Erik Finman may be only 18, but he’s a millionaire, thanks to a very shrewd and early investment in bitcoin. And despite the recent tumult in the world of digital currency and a huge run-up in the value of bitcoin, Finman is still a bitcoin believer. By his reckoning, the cyber currency still has a ton of upside.

Indeed, Finman said recently that buying bitcoin now would be a “very smart financial decision.” The teen mogul is putting his money where his mouth is. He owns 403 bitcoins, which give him a net worth of around $1.7 million. He’s not going to college, and he doesn’t have a steady job. He’s just focusing on his bitcoin investments. Well, that and launching a satellite stocked with a signed Taylor Swift CD into low-earth orbit.

His faith in bitcoin hasn’t been shaken by recent events, such as the explosive growth ofEthereum, a rival digital currency system, the “hard fork” to bitcoin that divided the market for the currency, or the big rise in the value of bitcoin. Each coin is now worth more than $4,300, up from less than $1,000 each as recently as March.

While there will be some “ups and downs” to bitcoin in the near future, Finman expects that it could go up “much, much, much more” — possibly to as high as $10,000 per coin.

I am sure we all have heard of this guy who at a young age invested some money into Bitcoin and now that he is already 18 reaping all the benefits of what a some foresight and I guess some luck too can be bringing to a young boy. And he is believing that we are just scratching the surface with Bitcoin as it is poised to grow more maybe mostly in 2018. Personally, I am also inclined to hold my faith in Bitcoin as it would really be $10K without us knowing it...just hodl, hodl and hodl and we will get there soon.

Do you have the same faith like Erik has on Bitcoin?

I expected Bitcoin to reach $10,000 at some point in the future, when the price hadn't even touched the $1000 level yet. For that reason I have set up a cold wallet back in 2013 with a few coins that are not meant to be sold in the coming 10 or so years. Result is that this action has turned out to be more than rewarding from me, but technically, you only gain when you spend or sell, so it's just a gain on paper. The article points at a price of $4300, which is obviously an article from a short while ago, but it's not much of an achievement anymore when we do happen to reach the $10,000 level. I see it more as a statistical achievement rather than something ground breaking. In order to call a certain price level ground breaking, it will need to be in the near $100,000 range.

For me, this man's opinion has no value. He happened to be in the right place at the right time. With the same success you can talk the lucky ones who won the lottery. It was an accident. Nobody can say what will be bitcoin price in the future. Bitcoin does not recognize any authority.

Fuck this. More trash to the space. Don't people get what eventually happens when we send all this shit to near earth orbit?

And he is correct at some point this year 2018 bitcoin will surely riseup and hit the 10000usd mark.
The once investing bitcoin right now will be inprofit in future if they hold.
There are also very good possibility for other alt coins in 2018
