Flam, what do you think it would take to make devtome Google/adwords friendly? The current advertising is worthless, and we're just crippling ourselves.
dvccountdown - it was playing up, so I spent a bit of time fixing it / optimizing it. I may have introduced more bugs but I've sped it up significantly.
Regarding devtome, I can host it on one of my servers. The HR page still says jasinlee is in charge of it, so I'll send him a message to see about migrating it. Does anyone know if someone else has control of it?

Not sure about who runs it now but I'd assume it's still Jasinlee. I also don't think it should be that big of an issue to host. It's getting less than 300 visits per day... I just can't fathom how that's a huge resource hog. |

I recall we couldn't do this in the past because of our non-censoring policy, but I think we've proven that devtome can't survive without censoring. As a benchmark, devtome has been earning 0.001 btc per month from coinurl :/. Is anyone able to figure out and suggest a plan of action on what we need to do to convert devtome to be adwords approved? Is anyone an advertising fiend that knows how to best place ads? At the moment devtome only has one at the top, and I'm sure that could be made better. HB |

Advertising is ok and can be alright if it is covering the costs. But it's a declining market. Donations can be considered too.

Just noticed a bug, devtome.com is redirecting to http://howtobuybitcoins.com/ and www.devtome.com is working well. Also, I'm still awaiting for @Hunterbunter to provide me with access to the hosting so I can help improve performance and make the site profitable again!! |
