Let me wear my Investor Administrator hat for a sec: 1. The listing request form is currently found here2. Listing Fee is 0.25 BTC3. BTC/BTC Fork – Must comply with Bitcoin Core API > 0.10 (Devcoin is 0.8 ) 4. Principle/Developer [...] must be available and reply to any queries from the exchange within 24 hoursI think that this is a good candidate but we need to do some homework before. Also, I think that exchanges supporting XLM tokens are better suited for Devcoin right now, because we don't need to do any software update and all technical issues are already handled by the people running the Stellar network. Last but not least, we are already listed on Freiexchange with the BTC/DVC pair. Freiexchange has zero fees for trading, they only charge very reasonable fees for withdrawals. Go go Devcoin! - develCuy The biggest problem with smaller exchanges in my opinion is that they have less eyes. People that would trade DVC may not want to have to sign up to a new exchange just to buy it. I know this is something I dealt with in the past (I signed up to a couple exchanges solely for the purpose of trading -- both buying and selling to help the market -- DVC). I also question whether or not an exchange that just matches it up with LTC would be a disservice since it creates a virtual wall there. Instead of "Wow, this is worth x BTC" it becomes "Eh, it's worth x LTC but I don't really want to trade into/out of LTC." Both are my personal opinions on the matter, just wanted to toss them out there. |

I also question whether or not an exchange that just matches it up with LTC would be a disservice since it creates a virtual wall there. Instead of "Wow, this is worth x BTC" it becomes "Eh, it's worth x LTC but I don't really want to trade into/out of LTC."
To put things into perspective... LTC marketcap - $2,920,128,326 XLM marketcap - $2,056,064,586 DVC marketcap - $2,025,106 (using `1 BTC = ~$9,513`, `1 DVC = 1 Sat` price and 21,286,112,500 total devcoins in circulation) Trading only using DVC/BTC pair would leave us with huge spread even if the price goes x10. So there is a need for other market pairs, such as XLM/DVC. Fortunately, it's already available on the Stellar network, but perhaps somebody would like to see such pairs on the other exchanges. Introducing more than one such pair on "fly-by-night" exchanges might be a "disservice" as you say, but only if there is a low volume, so that manually going through various calculations might disincentivize a potential buyer, because nobody can instantly calculate in their head whether for example LTC/DVC matches XLM/DVC denominated in USD. Having high volume on all the relevant pairs would increase trust in market prices being "fair", so no need to manually check every time if the prices match, or whether one pair offers bargains or whatever. With that regard, Stellar seems to be more convenient because of pathfinding, so volume doesn't matter. Since Stellar network uses XLM as native currency, it might be better for a fly-by-night exchange to provide XLM/DVC pairing, than the LTC/DVC pair, because XLM can be used for exchanging on Stellar, and not only "trading into/out of it" for the sake of getting DVC. |

Was told someone from DVC team can put in an official request for it to be listed on altilly and follow their usual listing process. (has been over a year since de-listing) thus could not strike a deal to get them to relist for free. 2) Builds trust in them since they are clearly doing their research
Now, one part that I found a little backwards is the shop info. One of their negatives is that there aren't many/any stores accepting DVC right now, but part of that reason could just as easily be that it's not as liquid right now and shops of most types have their own expenses (i.e., if I'm selling phones at a 5% markup, I still need to get that 95% from somewhere to pay for the phone and restock. If I can't sell any of the coins on an exchange, I can't viably run a business).

Yes Ranlo that was my take from the feedback from altilly, great to see what dvc needs to do and good sign altilly is good exchange and doing due research into each coin. Regarding the stores accepting DVC, I think this is specifically related to the first post on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=233997.0 with the places listed accepting dvc as payment.. they are all out of date and dead thus that looks bad so this should be cleaned up if possible or lets start new official thread? Also there has been no work to get dvc integrated into a multi crypto payment gateway provider. (Note this was done in the PPC community and they spent far too long and much money redesigning the logo and rebranding and would not recommend) just take the current dvc logo and drop on a sticker and get 100 printed up in various sizes etc. This also opens the question of does anyone have the dvc official logo in a high res image and various formats (white background, transparent background, one with text devcoin, one with just logo) and these should be in one place available on devtome or devcoin.org for marketing use and such.
