Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has any information (for better or for worse) about this company BTC Global.

They appear to be launching 4 new products in the coming months:
  • BTCXperts, a global directory of crypto-currency professionals.
  • BitBilly, a payment processor that arbitrages your bitcoins for products by ordering for you at locations that do not accept bitcoins.
  • BTC.UY, a trading platform based in Uruguay that uses an Order Matching Engine to accommodate high velocity high volume trading.
  • BTCCoinSafe, a physical storage depository and executor service operating in a high security location.

There are little snippets about some of the characters involved on the main site, but typically, most of the claims there are not really susbatantiated with any amount of evidence...

Just wondering if anyone on here had any thoughts, or knew any of the people involved? For example, I'm sure I read somewhere a while ago that Vladimir Marchenko might be user Vladimir off this site...

Any thoughts go at this stage; topic open!

I'm at BTCXperts. And I'm a shareholder of BTCGlobal too.

There is a nice interview with Steven Morell, CEO of BTCGlobal (soon to beat MtGox I hope) Smiley

I do know Vladimir since 2011 when I started with Bitcoin and I have done business with him then. All business done was highly professional and all contractual obligations have been fulfilled. I have met him on the London Bitcoin conference 2012 and I am happy to confirm that he is legit and in my view trustworthy. He has also been involved in the bitcoin magazine. I am acutally quite keen to see him on the London conference in July again Smiley

This should not imply of any reconmmendation of investing in BTCGlobal. However I have done so, as I do like the approach those guys are taking.

Hey man, thanks for replying. An nice looking project!

Could you do me a favour and explain this:

"Massive Parallel Licensing (MPL) program, which it describes as a distributed solution to address the regulatory challenges facing Bitcoin adoption both in the US and globally."

...a little bit more. Whilst it sounds pretty neat, it also is incredibly vague. I am interested to know how BTCGlobal can help set up fully compliant exchanges in multiple jurisdictions?

thanks

he's saying this smacks of (if I might stretch the grammar rules of English for a bit) "shilliness"... it reads a whole lot like an advertisement disguised as a discussion.

Think sock-puppet is the term you're looking for.

Ah OK, well, Maciek declared his affiliation with the company, so I can forgive his plastering (that same article which seems to be being copied all over the web) into this convo.

I was really looking for the dirt on these guys, or perhaps some analysis into their characters, or other history

errrr, Pre-IPO?

Any plans of them going public?

Would that be in Uruguayan market?  Does that exist?  Or would it be on NASDAQ?

Would that be 5-10 years down the road?
