why are sock puppets allowed with the current iteration of the trust system?
allows for gaming the system, lets people turn busywork into reputation that looks real on the surface.
imo these system are incompatible. we either need to remove the trust system (which i think is really great), or work harder to prevent sockpuppets and multi accounts. this will also require more moderators to destroy scum that is becoming ever more common.

I believe the votes have weight, meaning, a more established member will have a bigger say in a person's rep than a sock puppet. I could be wrong tho.

We have a winner! @OP Read about the trust system before calling it out, too many people just say shit with having no idea how it works [like you]. apologies this system is very new, and i have yet to even add anyone to my trust network, as i am sure most have not if my understanding is correct, then most transactions will still show up under "untrusted feedback" which is the current norm even with widespread adoption it will take months to be able to be able to differentiate false claims with real transactions /on the surface/ which is about as far as most will go "de5troy3r" or whatever is a perfect example of this problem in the reverse here is just another example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=229445.0 |

Got to your profile, then click on "Trust" (just below "local time" and "language"), then click on "Trust Settings" (near the top of the page). You should see a text box. Type user names into the box, one user per line, then click the "update" button to add them to your trust network. |

That is a good way to word it, might have to quote you in the newbie trust sticky. |
