bitcoin now is really like a roller coaster with the high of the price and the price can make people got heart attack if they don't very strong to see the price is up and down. i am agree that 2017 is the year for bitcoin which people know bitcoin from many source and they are interesting with bitcoin and now they are learning bitcoin to make money. but i don't think that with many bad news that you said will make people worried to use bitcoin because people still want to use bitcoin and they believe that bitcoin can help them to make money.

Yes. The price of Bitcoin started to soar high in November 2016 when Donald Trump was elected as the US president and breaks the $1000 mark in January 2017 ...maybe it's just a coincidence. I have a record to show, it's below...

when I see a surge in bitcoin prices this year which reaches almost 7 times the price at the beginning of the year, I agree that this year is the beginning of the revival of this technology. With the growing number of big companies like microsoft, steam, amazon, it certainly becomes a stepping stone for bitcoin to continue to skyrocket. But we must be prepared with all the possibilities that occur. The worst possibility, such as from 2014 to 2016, takes 2 years to raise prices.

more and more issues being thrown against it and some countries moderating its use.

Since bitcoin overcame those issues and people awareness became higher then the price

It is still not over. I think that the upcoming SegWit2x fork is probably the most dangerous of all and it could do some real damage. But i have to agree, 2017 was really expansive year both regarding the value and the adoption but probably the largest expansion was in awareness of the people not directly connected to the bitcoin since it was a lot of related news.

Yeah thats because bitcoin is having that potential and a spark to overcome any other currency in the crypto community or in the real world asset too. This is not the good year for bitcoin but its the best after seeing all the hard stuff it went inferno of it. The tokens which ere generated due to the hard fork became the most shit thing and people actually knew what to support and what not. From here onwards hard fork would be reason for the increase in the prices of bitcoin. So lets hope we see a lot of them :-)

I agree, it was definitely a crazy year for bitcoin. Some say that we should expect a price increase for the end of 2017 and judging from the looks of the price now, we may experience a steady rise. A lot has happened this year yet bitcoin remained to be strong and resilient. Also, it has received much support from its users and hodlers. As my first year with bitcoin, the significant price increase has surprised me and also how it continued to increase.
