What purpose does this coin has? How is it different from hundreds of other coins?

Do not ask tough questions . There are hundreds of coins out there with no purpose but costs more than 5$ .

This can also go upto 1$ because demand is very high and masternode is the trend now a days Smiley

Would add this is by far the smoothest wallet I have ever run. No buggy MN setup / startup. Fantastic start!

UPDATE
This is the CROWDFUNDING wallet for YOBIT - I think that 5000 ALQO are worth 0.1 BTC now. So we need 5000 Alqo for the listing fees on yobit.
Thanks for your participation. Alqo team will also put a good sum into it! (1000ALQO)

What purpose does this coin has? How is it different from hundreds of other coins?

We are more fair:
Masternodes and stakers will receive balanced rewards (just like pivx)
We will have a full governance system (just like dash)
We have only 0,17% premine which will be burned.
We have no developer fees on the blockchain.

Features:
We are PoW and will Switch to PoS (just like ethereum)
We will have a special Wallet, Marketplace and other things that will build the foundation.
We offer our own resources : Masternode service, Android APP, websites etc.

More to come soon.

I may have missed it, but premine is blocked on purses? Perhaps the premine will go under the hammer first? Or will the developer abandon this case? Do not judge strictly, I judge the situation with Signatum. I really hope that I'm wrong.

It's not locked on a wallet. Its locked as Masternodes, we will provide the IP-Adresses of the masternodes soon. (Actually some are on the first page of the ann)
This information can also be found on the first page of the ANN.

-> Also if you have missed it, we already bought several thousand alqo from our community back Smiley in order to have some more alqo for us in private.

Donated 2300 ALQO to it :-) TX 6a289145b4db0cbace14faa47d301aee1ec50ffa0deb2c7552df4415fbcb0d78

Hi there! I've just this coin and I'm interesed in running a Masternode, but I have some questions.

According to the first page, current block reward should be 200, split 20-80 for masternode/miners. That is, 40 coins should go to masternodes. After syncing the whole chain, running "algo-cli masternode winners" shows rewards of 10 coins, not 40. How is that?

Also, "masternode list" yields a total of 206 nodes, does anyone have an estimated ROI? My calculus is as follows:

Masternode cost = 10000QRK * 0.00000131btc/qrk = 0.0131btc
Blocktime is 60 seconds, which means an average of 1440 blocks per day
Daily revenue, supposing 40 coins per block, should be 1440 * 40 / 206 ~ 140qrk/day = 0.0001834btc/day
Days for ROI ~ 72

Then again, that's supposing 40/block, if its 10
1440 * 10 / 206 ~ 70qrk/day =  0.0000917btc/day
Days for ROI ~ 143

Can someone confirm if it's/should be 40 coins/block or 10, and if my ROI calculus is right?

40 alqo until block 86400 ( 20 % of block rewards )

Masternode cost = 10000 ALQO
Blocktime is 60 seconds, which means an average of 1440 blocks per day
Daily revenue, supposing 40 coins per block, should be 1440 * 40 / 206 = 279 ALQO
Days for ROI ~ 36 days

my calculus based on ALQO, not the price since alqo price fluctuation.
