I think they're getting ahead of themselves considering how little mainstream recognition there is of Bitcoin.

That is true... You ask 10 people on the street what Bitcoin is 9 1/2 will probably say "what"?

It's actually closer to 9.8 than 9.5.  I recently asked a bunch of people at a get-together if they had ever heard of bitcoin.  Most people responded with a confused look "Uh, Bickcoin?" or "Bigcoin?"

I think it depends where you live and where you go.

Ask people in the grocery store and they will just look at you like you're nuts

Ask people in the club or somewhere hip/happening and you'll find some that know and the ones who don't are more likely to find it interesting

The cryptocoin world is innovative, exciting, risky, rewarding, ambitious, analytical, intelligent, etc so go places that have those kinds of people with those traits
