Any of the countries where media or governments start saying they might "ban bitcoin" we try to cover the best ways for people to still purchase in case the actual ban happens.

Articles like this are just scary
https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/industry/banking/finance/banking/india-shuts-down-bitcoins-other-virtual-currencies-prohibits-any-dealing-with-banks/articleshow/63627611.cms

But bitcoin doesn't follow laws governments create, it just stores value Smiley

For buying btc in india we show:

Paxful
Coinmama
Localbitcoins
Bisq
Zebpay (with kyc)
Binance (for alts)
Changelly (for alts)

Along with the different bitcoin meetup groups people could also attend to meet people who might want to sell them some bitcoin. Then there is the Bitcoin ATM option (not always the BEST option depending on fee's)

The meetups seem like one of the better options. If there ever is a ban in a country everyone will just trade for cash at meetups, the banning won't do anything.

But you dont have to even create an account for Changelly... sometimes you want a quick altcoin and dont want to create an account.

The fee's on Binance are way lower though almost always. Depends what your priority is.

Check out www.theycallitcrypto.com

It's a great tool for searching and comparing exchanges. Just enter your country, the coin you want and payment method.

Depending on your payment method, it looks like there's quite a few options for buying bitcoin in India.

Bitcoin buying presently seems impossible.  Because Reserve Bank of India instructs the Banks in India banning their customers for payments for buying bitcoin or other cryptos.

But as per information some money launderers are engaged in this activity.  They accept cash in exchange for bitcoin.  But I suggest all should stay away from such illegal activities.
