To me, Paypal is like a easy worldwide currency exchange for goods if you think about it. You still have to have a traditional bank or CC to purchase or exchange for goods in any form of payment. IE USD, YEN, ETC

The basis of cryptography is anonymity. Transactions in PayPal are not anonymous, unlike most cryptocurrencies
