GPU are also useful for 3D visualization in real-time, for example Lumion or the Unreal Development Kit. My advice would be to contact some high end architecture firms and tell them you have a load of GPU they could use/rent/buy. They could use them to present real-time presentations to clients. It is not just architecture, medicine, engineering all have potential uses for large amounts of raw computing power. With the amount of GPU you have you could rent to lots of different firms at once. If you were to set up a professional looking website I expect you could attract some top end clients, just make sure you clearly demonstrate the advantages of real time rendering and I bet this would be a good niche. The more I think about this the more I think I should have kept this idea secret lol.

Let's say Bitcoin (and all alts) goes to zero because Nakamoto was wrong Smiley. What could I do with 50 GPUs besides selling them, have fun with my kids (and the whole school) or replace my home heater with them?

Any ideas that have been implemented? Like starting a "gaming center" or process proteins...

There's this thing called Litecoin...

Host a server for a game that has a high-demand of computing power on the server side. Or put them to work doing protein-folding or whatever other project BOINC et al offer.

What are the fees for hosting games?

You might want to try your hand at cracking hashes for Bitcoin over at HashBounty (http://www.hashbounty.net/bounties) using ocl-Hachcat plus (http://hashcat.net/oclhashcat-plus/).

If you use something like VirtualCL (http://www.mosix.org/txt_vcl.html), you could distribute the work to multiple computers, allowing you to fully utilize all of your GPUs.

Couldnt you use them as servers for gamers etc..  or get with a server based company maybe they could help you out.  set them up as game servers to host online games or something like that im guessing what else could you do keep mining.  Web servers or game servers maybe thats still a lot of power that can be used why throw them out but a big waste of energy.  Still think they might be useful though.  Can upgrade mobo and still use them somehow or sell them on ebay easiest thing to liquidate without future headaches.

Depending on how powerful they are I bet you could set up a render farm with them, I think you'd need full computers to go with them for that though.
