I guess the titles says it all. What will you do if that happens?
They can ban bitcoin trading but i will continue to collect / earn bitcoin and holding it, waiting until they realize that bitcoin is not evil and lift the ban. I also can use it to buy things online as they won't know that i use bitcoin to buy it.

While the status of bitcoin in the world is not defined, it is difficult to say what is concrete. I think that if this happens in my country, I will either be conspiratorial, or I will move.

If my country banned Bitcoin I wouldn't do anything. How would they determine that I'm the owner of certain bitcoins? I'm already using TOR to read news about cryptocurrencies (this includes using Bitcointalk). You can also use TOR network to hide your real IP address when you broadcast your transaction to the node. Nodes don't store information about your IP address but I wouldn't be surprised if governments already have tools which determine who tried to connect to specific node.

I'd laugh. There is no way to ban a decentralized currency, at least not effectively. Bitcoin is now somewhat ban-proof -- it goes up in price even when a major country announces it will restrict trade or ownership of it. Banning bitcoin will only bring more attention and interest to it.

hah yes i would also don't do anything. I would just leave them in my wallet and if my country changes his plans. I would then just use bitcoin again so no problems for me.

If they make it illegal i would have to hide everything so i would transfer my offline wallets to online, because they can search your home.

Bitcoin banned in my country long ago. But many people in my country use Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is a digital currency, its activity is online and in spite of being banned in my country, we do not have problems using it. I understand why many countries ban Bitcoin. This is very useful for us. However, I hope Bitcoin will be legal in my country.

in my opinion it will never happen.
if the state prohibits the existence of bitcoin how the fate of bitcoin users in the country that prohibits it.
but if that happens I will keep using bitcoin anytime.
hopefully and hopefully nothing like this will ever happen in my country ..

As expected you are from one of the few countries where Bitcoin is banned and in your case it is Bangladesh. And I think there is no harm in reading about Bitcoin, but converting Bitcoin to local currency is a point you need to take into consideration. As, if you are caught by the government, then according to the rules of your country it may lead to hard time for you.

I do not know what I will do, because if a country has started banning bitcoin in its country, then it will be concerned with the law. literally, if a country has banned and we still continue to do so it is the same as committing a criminal act. maybe the main way out of the problem itself by switching states that do not prohibit bitcoin in it.

I never checked if it's illegal by the laws of my country and will continue using it even if they will prohibit one day. I anyway never bought at an exchange in my country so they can't stop me from using it. What is the sense of making something illegal if they can't proof that you used it? My wallet has a password and without the password they don't know what is on it for the case there will be a house search one day.

For those who are very anxious, if they prohibit bitcoin simply use altcoins. Wink

All ready my country banned bitcoin but we are using bitcoin in online and investing with bitcoin. I think earning money with bitcoin unstoppable. It's can't stop anyone. We are still holding bitcoin and investing with bitcoin and earning and get profit with bitcoin as well. Overall we are keeping it up.

All we can do in reality is to move on, but i think there are still ways to hold and sell bitcoins but i do not know if you can possibly cash it out even if your government ban cryptos.

I hope it never happens, but who knows. Anyway it won't stop me from trading BTC and other cryptocurrencies. I'll just use VPN for trading, because I can't imagine my further life without cryptocurrencies.

Trade overseas. The ban is limited to transactions within your governments jurisdiction.

I think that if ever bitcoin will be banned in my country, I would still find ways to earn and withdraw bitcoin through foreign remitance or foreign bank transfer. Bitcoin provides people good profit so I think that it is normal to find other ways.
