Because if you don't run it 24/7, you are not guaranteed to earn ~0.3% daily or 100% annually on your staked coins. Your wallet becomes the node and helps with confirming transactions.

If you're not running the wallet 24/7, then you're missing on half a day if you run it only for half a day. You get half as much. My wallet is only for AAA coins. That's why I created it because no other coins has this functionality.
