I am not worried about EMD, the miner dumps are almost done, let market decide its value.

Well...  looking at the fate of some coins (even if flawlessly functioning) at cryptsy, one lesson seems:
ppl supporting a coin must do something to increase/hold its value...

I'm considerung to support EMD for a couple of time.
Are there any features, plans or projects about EMD, which may encourage further promotion of it?

because i know as soon as the usd/btc vallue crashes again . then many alts will be shooting up . since pumpers will buy more btc to pump with ... so what are you gonna doo to get the people to invest in emd then ?  because i must admit that the coin is way undervallue .. but you need to comeup with something , just have a marketplace where people can spend their emd for goods .. dont procrastinate but activate .  make a difference or get left in the dust of other coins

tried to send some coin to Cryptsy and got error: transaction creation failed.

Tried to export and import my private keys and when importing got an error importing the key.

ANy help would be nice...

** Update #1 **  Played with the numbers... Tried to transfer 4600 coins, it failed.  Tried 4350 and it charges me 10.0 coins in TX fees.  Anything higher fails... Is there a problem with TX fees over 10 coins?

** Update #2 ** Seems like there is a problem with DumpPrivKey and ImportPrivKey functions...  Tried to dump and import into a new wallet.dat but it did not add in the address into my wallet.  Any problems there?

Same here, I can't cash out of emerald@scryptmining.com to either Cryptsy or my own wallet application running on my PC.  Setting automatic payout does nothing, doing it manually says that it's been sent but the EMD still stubbornly refuse to leave the mining pool account.

The new alt coin - emerald has been launched

Emerald is an innovative new alt coin. It is a Litecoin clone, so it uses scrypt for mining. Emerald uses a relative fast 20 second block time for continuously releasing the coins to miners.

The block reward is 5 emeralds per block, will be halved every 2 block years. Total emeralds released will be 31,499,000. Difficulty will be re-targeted every block hour, or every 180 blocks, it ensures a relative fast difficulty adjustment to the network hash power. Emerald has a 3 confirmations for transaction (so a fast average 1 minute transaction confirmation), and 50-confirmation maturity for newly mined coins.

To start the emerald in a fair launch, the blocks below 400 do not give any emeralds. Then by each 300 blocks, the payout will be 1, 2, 3 and 4 emeralds (that is, blocks 401-700 pay 1 emerald each, blocks 701-1000 pay 2 emeralds each, blocks 1001-1300 pay 3 emeralds each, and blocks 1301-1600 pay 4 emeralds each). Starting from block 1601, full 5 emeralds are given by each block. The 1st block is a special block of 400K created by us for bounty, giveaways, services, coin mixing service, etc.

Getting Started

1. Start up emerald-qt, wait for it to load, then exit.
2. Put emerald.conf (see sample file above) in your c:/users/**yourcomputername**/appdata/roaming/Emerald
3. restart emerald-qt, and you should connect and sync.
4. For solo mining, launch cgminer or whatever mining program you like and begin mining.
      cgminer ex: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localhost:12128 -u **yourusername** -p **password** (without **)
