When Giants E-commerce start to accept BTC?

But an E-commerce giants won't simply accept bitpay, they may create their own payment gateway as soon as they have the intention to add bitcoin as one of their payment method
also bitpay may charge few percents for fee which E-commerce giants will avoid.

I think big ecommerce will support bitcoin in the future, there are a lot of problems that need to be solved before they are comfortable to receive bitcoin, the first issue is the bitcoin legality, once this is settle perhaps it will attract more big companies in using bitcoin, the small and retail do accept bitcoin but it is just a very small percentage

It's definitely a big change. Because those companies have a big role and if bitcoins they accept as one of their payment processors many people buying those companies they will also recognize bitcoins. Of course they'll wonder what that is. And you'll start to explore what bitcoins are. These will also be part of the community that knows Bitcoins. So I'm looking forward to this opportunity because it's going to be the start that bitcoins are recognizable and also available with simple transactions.

If they are going to start, they should have started already because the price is really going up and for sure they would consider this whether to accept bitcoin or not. So I think that the likelihood of them accepting bitcoin now is very slim.

But I will remain very positive that amazon will start to accept bitcoin as payment. Because it they did that it will be just a matter of time before others will big retailers will accept it at all. We just need one big high profile retailer like amazon to start the trend and I'm sure that the rest will follow amazon.

Some report are amazon accept bitcoin as payment on their some items and even alibaba. But totally accepting bitcoin in their all transaction maybe they are looking to considered it since bitcoin is easy mode of payment in digital transaction. I think scaling is definitely a challenge that are identified by them. They would be losing money, when people want to do transactions and Bitcoin goes through a spam period and these transactions cannot be done within a few hours. < slow confirmations >

This will cause further problems with their customer support being flooded with problems regarding "confirmation" issues. People has become used to "instant" transaction confirmation with other payment options like Credit cards and PayPal. Bitcoin has to address these issues, before it can be seriously considered by these ecommerce giants. ^hmmmmm^

There are so many factors to consider, There should be a case study before they accept btc, Its gonna be a good indicator if people preferred to used btc because it will create a massive  impact to crypto world. price will surely rise up and eventually the success of bitcoins will start up the new world of cashless society:)

maybe in next year, giants e-commerce start to accept btc and i think they can see this opportunity to reach more customer in over the world. bitcon now has reach many people from many country and they are using bitcon for many things and if the e-commerce site can accepting bitcoin then i am sure that bitcoin user can spend their bitcoin to buy something in that sites.

The number of small retailers is pretty low.  The difference is that they don't have a huge amount of resources to consider it, so their acceptance of BTC is somewhat experimental and they don't expect huge amounts of customers to be paying with it.

There's also the fact that BTC users are quite specific audiences, so very general audiences like Amazon may not be interested enough for it.  A VPN provider or porn site is more likely to accept BTC than Amazon or another major retailer.

As for adoption, I'd say it was happening more when the price was lower.  We're still mentioning the addition of one retailer at a time rather than giving general statistics or information.
If you really need to use those major services, you could try converting BTC to gift cards or using indirect systems like Purse.

The fact is that small retailer does not want to look too forward because they are the last to adapt to the technology itself. But doing that way they are losing the next big opportunity.
With so easy implementation for the retailer would be very bad for him not to take advatages

There's a lot of online shop that accepts bitcoin nowadays and the three of them are Newegg, Shopify and Steam. But the main form of payment and still the most recommended is still fiat currency I think it is because of the fluctuations and volatility that's why some of the biggest e-commerce businesses are still in doubt in adapting cryptocurrencies as a payment but soon to be that the majority of all online stores will accept bitcoin for their products i think some of them are still in development and experimental but we will see soon.

A member already spoken about Purse so I will not talk about it. But there are some challenges for bitcoin to be accepted as a payment option in giant retail shops and e-commerce websites. Let me list down a few for you,

1. Fluctuating value: Bitcoin's value is dynamic and keeps fluctuating from one end to another within a very short period of time. So if you see a product price is 0.015 bitcoin now, it may change to 0.017 while checking out. E-commerce companies need a way to fight such fluctuations. Because it posses a huge risk on their profitability.

2. Transaction confirmation time: Currently bitcoin transactions usually take around 30 minutes if you pay suitable network fees. SO if you order something, your trade request won't get confirmed before the payment comes to their wallet. The system will have to keep checking for the transaction confirmation and then they can release the product for further processing and shipping. That isn't convenient.

3. Legal status of bitcoin: That is one of major challenges for bitcoin to be accepted as a payment gateway. The legal status of bitcoin is still not clear in majority of the countries. So e-commerce stores will not want to burn their hands on to something like this. They need transparency around their business.

I think these are the three major roadblocks for bitcoin to be accepted as a real payment gateway. It looks good now as an investment asset but not as a currency, at least for now. We need a faster and more stable crypto currency to become mainstream. Sad reality!

It is really hard to put on a certain date as legality is one of the main concerns, one of the sites you mentioned is owned by a Chinese which we know China have strict laws about cryptocurrencies. Another concern that these companies will face to is the acceptance for it, will there be person who are willing to accept Bitcoin as their mode of payment if they will be incurring additional cost? If these 2 are not a issue anymore then we can start to see these websites to accept Bitcoin in the future.
