Who knows. If you're just looking for short- to mid-term profits, entering now is probably too risky. If you're positive about long-term prospects (say, 5-10 years) it may very well be worth the risk.

Just wait for a dip before you buy if you are concerned about the cost. That is if you intend to keep your coins for, say at least 2 years. In the long run though, the sooner you get bitcoins, the better.

Yes,without any doubt it is a bad timing to buy bitcoins. Bitcoin's current price is approximately 7450$ which is a very high price. So buying at this price will not be a wise decision. If you want to buy some then wait for it's price to drop or just wait for a correction which will bring the down to a reasonable value.

Are you still waiting for a correction to come? Wait for it after the hard fork. It isn't a bad timing to buy some bitcoins now. But if you are not comfortable of buying it becayse its quite expensive then you can go with other alt coins like ETH. Its a good alternative for bitcoin if you just want to buy and hold.

absolutely right.or maybe even just 2-5 years term is enough to capitalized bitcoin now.in another 5-10 months btc price can go upto another 20% of the highest price bitcoin has,so try to think if u really want to invest.do it for long term not for quickly profiteering

I actually remember someone saying the exactly same thing when the price was $5500 last month. LOL

I can guarantee you that if you trully believes in Bitcoin, you should buy as many coins as you can and regardless of the price. Just remember that you could have done that for any moment in the past 3 years and you would have earned a big bonus for your trust.

Well said sir. Op thinks for short term investment so probably he wants to get a quick profit from the little moved of price. For the current price and you want to get in right now its a bad idea if you preffer a quick profit.

Go for long term sir and you wont regret buying now.

In terms of Trading buying right now would be a bad thing as you are putting yourself in a vulnerable position. Vulnerable in terms of you losing the value of your capital as currently Bitcoin is riding in to an all time high. As a trader you must obviously not buy anything on top as you are not giving yourself self any room for error or growth. Yes the big what if right now is "If I don't buy it may reach 8000 or 9000 or even 10,000$" but it is just a chance you must stay safe and let this price action slow down or change.

To join my voice to what OP is asking, this is actually no good time to risk money on bitcoin because it has long stretched and a retracement has long been over due. So, you could wait for a drop if you won't be impatient to dive in.

However on the contrary, if we all stand outside and wait for a rebound and not buy bitcoin, it keeps going up because we are making it untouchable and people are not releasing the fraction they have for the bitcoin atmosphere to look normal even though it still seem bullish. The economics theory of demand and supply comes to play here.

Off course if you make something look like a god, it starts operating thus. Bitcoin is being shrouded with some fear and so, it becomes untouchable.  Grin

I do not think it's bad to buy bitcoin, why? that time the price is about 4,000 USD around March 2017 I also expect very loss but I take the liberty to buy it and its end now Huh BOOM bitcoin reaches 7,000 USD Fantastic. so for now it would be nice to buy just do not be afraid of losses according to my estimates bitcoin can reach 10.000 USD in the year 2018

In the long term, no. Bitcoin price will be much higher than 7k in the future.. But you might want to wait for a little dip or correction before getting in, to maximize your profits even in the short to medium term. I would wait until the fork to get any more bitcoins.

I must say that it is a bad timing 70% are the chances that the price will go down and 30% chances are those that Price will go up, But If you can take the risk then you can buy Bitcoins and if you are lucky enough you can get the profit, And nobody can guide you that it is the bad time or right time it is upto you to buy or not to buy Bitcoins. After all its your money you are the owner you know how much money you can afford to invest and how much you can afford to lose.

Nobody will tell you exactly what to do, but from my perspective you have to wait for the bitcoin down cause it is only going up.

Yes, and there will be a dip, probably within the next week or so.  To anyone asking
this question, it's always extremely risky to buy something when it's at its all time high.  That
doesn't necessarily mean you're bound to lose, just that its risky.  There are plenty of examples
of people who made crazy money buying bitcoin at any of its previous highs....but it could go
south at any time.   Personally, I'm not buying at these prices because I think we're in for a major
correction, but I've been wrong about this before.   And no, no one can say with certainty whether
it's a good time to buy right now.  But that won't stop anyone from giving their opinion.

Is that bad timing to buy bitcoins?
Op all depends on what you are buying bitcoin, this because, here in my country there are online investment that we usually do and they don't accept any other currency apart from bitcoin, which means any time you want to invest in the business you have to buy bitcoin and not necessary consider whether bitcoin value is high or not. And if you want to buy bitcoin as an asset please do, for bitcoin has a potential growth in time to come.

If you are a beginer and not exactly sure what are you doing it might be a bad timing. The price is very high now but the market is kind unstable and for short period of time there will be many ups and downs because if the fork so you might not achieve the profit you want in the period younwnat. For the long term investment it’s better opportunity but you have to develope some kind of strategy and goals you want to get to. Or just start with very small amount an learn along the way.

It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you're planning to hold on to them for the short term then yes, you might have missed the train and have to wait for another opportunity. For longer-term, no time is ever late to acquire bitcoins, though buying them up cheap after a plunge sure is preferable.
