On bitcoin core wallet if i want to test i have set the password correctly and know it what are my options. Obviously could send a small amount to myself i know, thats what i normally do.

There are several commands that won't work properly unless you have entered the correct password (for example: dumpprivkey)

Click Help > Console
Enter:
Code:
walletpassphrase "passphrase" timeout
Example:
Code:
walletpassphrase 123456 300
This unlocks your wallet for 5 minutes (300 seconds). Press CTRL-L to clear the console and remove your password from your screen.
