But later it mentions payout in any unhidden coin.

The main page has been fixed.
Hidden coins are the cryptocurrencies for which we have disabled payments. Miners doesn't need to know about name, height, ticker or difficulty, the only important is profitability and time to find a block, however, miners will be payed for each generated block in the same way of unhidden coins.
