https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/Bauhaus/

He makes a new ad for every city in Europe and has over 1000 feedback, but there is no real info to be found about him.

Also, isn't it against the TOS to put a listing for every city, even though you don't accept locally in that city? Doesn't this ruin the whole point of localbitcoins?

He is not selling in person, here's one of the feedback:

April 28, 2013, 7:09 p.m.
+ Bauhaus was pretty quick at communicating. They are professionals and seem to do a large volume of transactions. You do not actually meet up with them, but just go to the bank and deposit. I was a little hesitant at first, especially when the account name was a little different than they had told me originally, but the communication was quick and they released my coins within minutes of my deposit. Would trade with again...

Yeah they take local bank deposits within europe. Lots of business in spain too.

Difficult to compete with unless you can accept instant european transactions.

i like their concept, though i suspect the party will not last forever Wink

if he reaches a volume that will trigger some alarms at banks, they will start to ask questions.

i would advise them strongly to register a British LTD and get a basic payment provider license soon (some paperwork+700 pounds)

Is what he is doing any different from what BitStamp is doing? Or is he more lax with customer's identities and more likely to support money laundering?

Why should he deal with British law? He could just as well be a provider in any EU country.

well, UK is part of the EU. if you have a license in one member state, you can operate in all of them.
