So if you all are thinking to buy FLO don't do. Research go for some good project with good volume and great team.

I can sympathize and understand your situation. I believe the devs have been making some rapid progress lately. With time, flo will glow. All coins have done pretty well. We should at least be at $1 by now

There are many upgrades planned for the FLO network. These will be completed in the following order:

1. Segwit and the 0.15.1 codebase upgrade
2. Atomic swaps / Lightning Network
3. Developer SDK
4. P2P chat application
5. Chrome addon wallet
6. Web wallet
7. Electrum
8. Hackathon
9. colorcoin.org
10. flod
11. Flobuntu

We do not have a timeline set out for completion of these goals because of the volunteer basis of our contributors. As some commenters here have pointed out work on the segwit upgrade was originally started in June. However it has been stated many times and is clear that we pivoted our goals because we had an opportunity to prioritize branding and marketing. This has largely been a great success as our community membership and activity has grown 10x in a short period of time.

As stated above the current goal is to complete the Segwit upgrade and upgrade our codebase to match the latest Bitcoin release version 0.15.1.

No, we increased the speed to 40 seconds per block. Bitcoin based means the code is forked from bitcoin core but added features to support decentralized applications
