ETH93 is a smart contract on Ethereum that automatically runs a lottery each day and gives a cut of ticket sale revenue (5%) to an established charity, with 93% of ticket sales going to the days winner. All smart contract code has been verified and published on Etherscan here:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xdd2ee38f9993c0bc1c1b5b9798bc4deff66cac4a#code

You can also read more at the website - https://www.eth93.com

How does the lottery work? The Oraclize smart contract is used to query the random.org API, which generates an entirely random number that will be used to pick a winner. As an example, if 500 tickets were sold, a random number between 0 and 499 would be generated. If the random number generated was 233, the owner of the 234th ticket purchased would be the winner. At a ticket cost of 0.01 Ether, the winner of this lottery would receive (0.01 * 500 * 0.93) = 4.65 Ether and the charity we donate to (Heifer International) would receive (0.01 * 500 * 0.05) = 0.25 Ether.

To our knowledge this is the only decentralized app that gives a cut of revenue to an established charity. We also see transparency as a massive advantage, and an essential part of this service to ensure that users know the ETH93 smart contract is doing what we say it does and nothing else. We strongly welcome any criticism of our smart contract code, and invite anyone with Solidity knowledge to pick apart our contract.

We may run an ICO in future, and in fact 1% of ticket sales go to a contract that can be withdrawn from by future token holders, though for now we are just focused on getting the word out and providing a great service.

To participate in any days ETH93 lottery Ether can simply send to the smart contract address: 0xdd2ee38f9993c0bc1c1b5b9798bc4deff66cac4a. Every 0.01 Ether you send will get you 1 ticket. There is no limit to the number of tickets you can purchase. The more people participate in any days lottery, the lower your chance of winning would be but the higher the jackpot.

This is great!

Definitely waiting to participate in the ICO.

May I suggest a smaller token cap (1,000,000ish)?

Cheers!

Thanks. If and when an ICO is offered it will be for a reasonably small number of tokens. For now we're just focused on getting users and making sure the lottery is running as smoothly as possible.

Nice to see. However, you should invest a proportion of your cut in advertising, apart from that, the users lose the interest of using your lottery and move on. As a result of that, the daily jackpot remains low and nobody use it. However, good luck with your idea Smiley

The ratio of winning chance versus losing chance is too risky for someone to bet. I think instead of giving just one prize, you can add up a few like second, third and consolation prizes so that it gathered more interest.
By the way, doesn't this topic fit for the games and rounds board?

The ratio of winning chance versus losing chance just depends on how many tickets are sold in that days lottery, as does the size of the jackpot of course. Before we've done any proper marketing of this the number of tickets sold will be small, the jackpot will be small and the chance of winning if you just buy 1 ticket will be pretty good - if more players participate of course the jackpot will go up and your chance of winning goes down.

At this stage by the way we're making 100% sure where this stands legally before really getting the word out and attracting more players.

Thanks for the mention about the games and rounds board, I wasn't aware of that section.

Hmm...I was about to purchase a ticket but beings that this thread isnt active at all and theres rarely any info about this site online Its starting to seem like a scam....So I guess I am just going to not buy a ticket now Sad dang...was hoping to find a nice big thread about this website on bitcointalk and i found the opposite Sad was really wanting to buy a ticket...but it seems like NO ONE plays this so it would be like i was just throwing my money away...cuz if i won it would prob be because i am the only player lol so i would only win less than what i paid for a ticket...lame... If this project goes anywhere in the future then i will play it. if it grows and what not. and if this thread becomes more active with winners telling their stories and stuff. peace

I would be down to help you out with the whole advertising thing if you would like. I could manage a bounty campaign for you. Just PM me Smiley I would love to be involved in this project and its further development.
I found this project cuz I googled "ethereum gambling" and all the other sites seems to be pretty lame. beside fortunejack of course.

But yeah I could help this project grow.

Let me know if you would like my help or not

Id be willing to work for your projects tokens Smiley

Peace & <3

Also you should have it so that the winner can choose who the donation portion goes to for that day Smiley would make things more interesting Smiley I can give you many ideas for improvements for your project. Thats what I do best. Come up with many different unique ideas.
