Bitcoin retrace? it is time to go long or to go out?

It's time for a small correction, so wait and see the rebound and get in once it stops somewhere near 6500 (that's what I am seeing on the charts in the next 3-5 days) after which it will skyrocket and consolidate towards a new ATH which will be possibly near 10k. I believe we are in the middle of a big historic decision yet as S2X was just a fake part, but the real one will make it hit to our expected levels.

Thats not a good thing, thats really terrible for people who purchased bitcoin at high price, I am sure in few hours bitcoin will be dumped and alts will rise. I am not aganist alt rising price but seriously why they cancelled the segwit2x just before a week?

A lot of people are expecting the segwit2x but eventually it has been cancelled. Let us all wait for the upcoming event. I hope this will never happen again.

Yep, just saw this after checking the price, it was $7700 at the moment i saw the article, and as I type this, its $7877. I'm not sure what's happening but i'm gonna wait a few more hours after the dust settles. I have SO many questions in my mind right now that i don't know where to start. All I can say is: this is going to be fun.
It seems that stopping Segwit2x caused Bitcoin to increase again because some people did not agree to go back to Bitcoin. Many people do not agree with it because the development may increase fees even though the transaction time may be down. But raising fees is unacceptable

I am very glad that the price of bitcoin has been stable. When she went sharply down, I thought that there would be a very strong fall. But bitcoin stood this test

Segwit2X has been cancelled.

https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-segwit2x/2017-November/000685.html

The Segwit2x effort began in May with a simple purpose:  to increase the
blocksize and improve Bitcoin scalability. At the time, the Bitcoin
community was in crisis after nearly 3 years of heavy debate, and consensus
for Segwit seemed like a distant mirage with only 30% support among miners.
Segwit2x found its first success in August, as it broke the deadlock and
quickly led to Segwit’s successful activation. Since that time, the team
shifted its efforts to phase two of the project - a 2MB blocksize increase.

Our goal has always been a smooth upgrade for Bitcoin.  Although we
strongly believe in the need for a larger blocksize, there is something we
believe is even more important: keeping the community together.
Unfortunately, it is clear that we have not built sufficient consensus for
a clean blocksize upgrade at this time. Continuing on the current path
could divide the community and be a setback to Bitcoin’s growth. This was
never the goal of Segwit2x.

As fees rise on the blockchain, we believe it will eventually become
obvious that on-chain capacity increases are necessary. When that happens,
we hope the community will come together and find a solution, possibly with
a blocksize increase. Until then, we are suspending our plans for the
upcoming 2MB upgrade.

We want to thank everyone that contributed constructively to Segwit2x,
whether you were in favor or against. Your efforts are what makes Bitcoin
great. Bitcoin remains the greatest form of money mankind has ever seen,
and we remain dedicated to protecting and fostering its growth worldwide.

For all the investor that already invest with bitcoin for they are expecting the segwit2x definitely this is not a good news. But probably bitcoin will surely rise whatever happen.

I wasn't even online these last few days because I didn't want to be tempted to spend or trade
This sucks big time  Angry

I wish it was a hoax but that small group seems adamant in continuing with 2X. As much as I was disappointed at not getting free coins, I think this is the best thing. We have had way too much arguing and no real work being done. Now its time for all 2x supporters to accept defeat and move on. I am really hoping those few miners don't continue with the fork.

if the segwit2x is cancelled and if the price is down like now then i think this is the correction price moment and i am sure that many people will buy bitcoin at lower price before its increase back. if we see in the market, the price is going to down and even right now is reach $66xx and i hope that the price is not reach $5xxx because this can makes people become panic. if market is panic then the price will be fallen too far and its difficult to increase again and needs more time to go up.
