IOTA has presented the tangle. Did you know the truth about the tangle.

The tangle is very restricted at the moment. The network runs mainly
through the IOTA coordinator. It means it is like ripple. The
tangle is only an illusion.

David Sonstebo told this here: https://youtu.be/T2FJ9hH66b8

https://medium.com/@ercwl/iota-is-centralized-6289246e7b4d

All unplausible transaction are filtered by the coordinators.
Like e.g. after a hacking attack.

The dream was to nice to be truth. It is just a fake.

Do you still believe in IOTA.

It is planned that the coordinators are switched off any time in the future.

But for me I think the tangle is not stable and the coordinator can not be
switched off.

Today they have a marketcap of about 1 billion. But when they want to test
the alpha or beta state of the decentralized chain. probably they are
waiting for a market cap of 5 billion or so. Then the developer sells the most
part of the wallets before the beta test starts.

If the tangle is not stable and hackable everything is lost. Now enjoy your coins!  Sad

Calm down, man! I am pretty sure everything will be all right in the end. It is a revolutionary technology. The guys are creating a lot of connections with the industry right now to make sure IOTA will be used by in every possible device.

This is a non-working system, but only a project. And the project has great potential.

is bitcoin decentralised?

= no its not, its controlled my miningpools that split it, and a media network that propagades it

is ethereum decentralised?

= no its not, vitalik buterin controlls it.

is deeponion decentralised?

= also not its run by the tor group

fazit = there is only the illusion of decentralisation, if something is created decentrally its success will centralise it again

thats how i see it.

IOTA is not a scam though the do have a worthless product that can be made into a system integrating BTC into it. Don't invest in it.

Well Charlie Lee also say that ethereum is too ambiguous and they are too diversified, without focusing on building their base strong.

So everyone will have their view and stand of point. If we ignore, you may miss out on the next boat to moon.

I have never liked the team of IOTA, it is a very shady coin and this is why i have never trusted in them, and their name is very confusing so it is obviosuly another reason of why i have never had a good looking about this coin. And i have been looking around it when it was still an ICO...
there are much better options than iota, i dont know why there are some people still investing in this lie.
and their devs are not even taking care about the people who is supporting them, it is a shame.

With all the accusations going around at the moment it is a wonder that people buy into crypto at all nowadays, near enough everything goes through a stage of being called a scam and it just damages the scene. I'm not invested in IOTA but give it some time befor calling scam

IOTA is something really different from everything else. Is so different that would probably never work. They will just try many times and will fail.

That's exactly it. IOTA is soo revolutionary and different that many people don't understand it. Now, I would have thought someone in crypto  understands this, but I guess not. Isn't that the same thing ordinary people not in cryptocurrency say about bitcoin? Iota is not perfect, neither was bitcoin when it was a few months old. I love the technology they are bringing.

I would not be so pessimistic about IOTA and call it scam. Specialists dealing with cryptocurrencies market suppose that according to the characteristics of IOTA price changes there is a high probability of further increase of this alt.

Mark my words. Until the end of the year, IOTA will show it's true value to the world and you will regret not buying it for cents when you had the chance.  Cool

The IOTA tangle is a LOT like the byteball DAG.  Presently neither are functioning as they will when fully implemented, unfortunately that also means both are reliant on additional centralization at present, however, the future state for both provide for decentralization very much UNLIKE Ripple et al, that have no plans for such.

At this point it's a question of trust in the devs.

Iota is not decentralised and that info us already public domain. What worries me the most is the tangle the Chain on which iota is based. Many institutions and crypto expert believes tangle is flawed.

Hello Everyone

I have been scammed from this website iota-help.com after generating seed form there, all my IOTA's have been transferred from my IOTA wallet on 21st Nov 2017. I have all the information that is needed to prove I was owning these on Binance. I will need HELP from this Forum...this is my first investment ever I made in cripto currency. I am lost and not sure what to do. I am in shame and lost, I will do anything it takes for me to prove. I had 1976 total IOTA in the wallet, I understand it is a total blunder I committed but I cannot walk away with this. I will need a big help from this forum to reverse this transaction.

PLEASE let me know if you can do anything to help me and I will give half of it to who ever can help me to reverse it or anything. No one form IOTA could help me..if there is anyone that can help me out that would be a dream come true for me.

Thanks

I think they can remain at high market cap for quite some time, just like ripple. But in the long term, I don't see a very good future, unless they find a way to remove the cordinators without causing damage to the network.

They have plans to move the coordinator off into a decentralized manner, so they are working on it at the moment.

Does it really matter if it is decentralized or not. When it comes to currency options, I understand the need for decentralization; however, IOTA is a utility token, and decentralization is not an issue here. As for me, it doesn’t matter either way, if it’s a sound project.
