Hey all

New to bitcoin mining. Started out a BTC Guild, but decided to switch to p2Pool. I followed instructions from here http://p2pool.in, but not sure if it's running properly. Experiencing a lot of "dead" area (?) and some increased latency. I'm using an ASUS rig now so I don't have much of a hash rate going on right now, but I plan on getting a mining rig in the near future. Could use some help so I can contribute to the pool more efficiently.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I've never used p2pool but if you want a pool to get start on I will wave fees for you until Friday if you sign up and mine at http://infinti-pool(".tk")/
remove the (" and ") because the forum setting wont display my url if I dont have them.

Also don't bother with buy gpu's for bitcoin buy asics.

Cheapest asic: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F7CWKYU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2VTOK77BV07D9 (I have two)

High end one : https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/50-gh-s-bitcoin-miner.html

Cloud service: https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/nimbus-mining.html

all of these are trustworthy to buy and go products

right now I'm GPU mining.

It will not be profitable (at all) with GPU mining bitcoin now.
It would be better for you to mine some other scrypt-based altcoin with your GPU and then sell it for bitcoin. Smiley

Agreed.
But with current ASIC competition level you can get better than BFL and in time.
