So, it will happen if you send bitcoins with low fee, now I will make sure that I will send with a higher fee to avoid this kind of situation. I hope you'll receive your coins OP and make sure to be more careful when sending some coins.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Same for me, more than 24h and no confirmation. This is the last time i'm using them, can't set fee and stuck payments.

tx/ac0845cef4ce6348195aa7c7e9a93cea0347b006a75c7d2d55090cdf4b71f0ca

The problem is network wide. Wayyyy to many unconfirmed, I am at 24 hours as well. It's probably that BCH supporters are spamming the network but also many people are FOMO/FUD into moving coins which adds to the congestion.

more or less retired.

I'm a bit confused here. If it has received one confirmation, then it must have been included in a block, and the confirmations will build on this. The only way it won't increase is if the transaction went into an orphan block, and then the transaction has to be returned to the pool.

Have I misunderstood something?

if almost 24hrs your transaction hasent been confirmed, then there are two things expected,
1: to sit back,Relax and waut for your coin back to your wallet.
2: its hard to believe that its lost  Smiley

Hey guys

Can someone please tell me why it's almost 24 hours now and my transaction is still not confirmed?

I know i paid the wrong fee but i am willing to add more just to speed this up.

Can someone tell me what the eta for my transaction to be confirmed?

Transaction id is fb26115545e28a4fd60d9d588ab191bbbbd7a8c41c09c5f74fc8742f6bcb7a67
24 hours is quite normal time considering the fees you have attached. By the way your transaction has been confirmed as of now. If in future you are trapped in some similar drama just rebroadcast transaction and see if it helps. If rebroadcasting is useless generally all private key wallets allow you to delete transactions and send btc again with a higher fees. This doesn't really deletes the transaction from network but the transaction with higher fees overlays the other so the one with higher gets transacted quickly.

270k unconfirmed transactions atm. If this increase even more, start seeing people panic because they can't get their bitcoins back. And you know what happen then, fud starts, greater unconfirmed transactions stocking and fees going to the moon.

It's possible with everyone panic selling that a lot of transactions won't be processed due to the fact they are neglected by the miners, who prioritize the ones with higher fees involved.

Also, remember that if the miners start seeing that there is more value on mining BCH instead of BTC, BTC transactions could remain in the limbo for ever.

I've just made a deposit with a fee of 33 euro and this got through almost instantly. Ofcourse I understand not everyone wants to pay these kind of fees, they are way to high. But as you've said, their transactions/second are way to low.
I'm currently all in on Xtrabytes, they are aiming for 10k transactions / second, Bitcoin could learn from that ^^

I think it's just the normal fee since you are transferring your Bitcoin to another wallet, although it's a bit bigger than now compared before which is only 5% and now it is at 10%. If you want to talk about Bank vs Bitcoin the debate is already been on this forum for a long time, banks are different compared to Bitcoin.
