Bitcoin-qt.exe -rpcuser=userid -rpcpassword=password -server

Point your mining software to your localhost address (127.0.0.1:8332) with the userid and password you selected in the bitcoin-qt command line.

Done.

Good Luck,
Sam

So how many 100GH/s are you running then?
OK, I found this in your post history ...

producing around 230GH/s just now on btcguild

I'd be interested in how many of your found blocks are orphaned as I understand that solo mining requires careful configuration of your peers to maximise your network connectivity.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'd only just found the answer in your post history (hence my edit above). Reminder to self: always check posters history before firing off a quick reply  Undecided

But yes, I am interested in whether you need any specific configuration to reduce the orphan rate. Anyone know?

230gh/s

Throwing 230Ghs at a bitcoin client may not work so well.

I have heard of others having to setup pool software so that they could solo mine with one 60Ghs Avalon because the Bitcoin-qt couldn't handle that hashrate.

I guess it will be tough, rather spend your time on the bitcoin pools, I guess you will earn more.
