Anyone have any experience with this company/miner?  Syan Technologies Vega SHA-256 Miner https://syanmining.com/

I have been seeing a bunch of news articles pop up on my google litecoin feed about their new Vega2 Scypt miner... I have contacted their support and was told I could get on the pre-release list if I promised to do an openbox and post review on their site.  After reading numerous reddit threads I am very skeptical.

Just curious if anyone has had any experience or ever received one of their existing models?

Their product image is a photoshopped cooler master case and they give us very little technical information. I would say it’s a scam for now until proven otherwise, according to the product thread here there might have been review samples given to a few forum members IIRC but we have zero concrete evidence this miner is real. Nobody has confirmed they’ve gotten a review sample yet either. It sounds like someone is trying to pull off a vaporware scam but is actually putting in some effort to pull in newbies.

If you are too dim to bother doing a simple search here using the term  Syan  to which would immediately turn up the existing Syan miner SCAM topic - sure, go ahead and send them money and see what happens.

Or better yet, set aside a fair bit of time to browse through the various sections here to get a feel of what is real hardware and what is not. Learn what miners are and what they do, then you can ask reasonable questions if search turns up nothing.

Payment via Bitcoin or other altcoins - or you can wire transfer Tongue No link to a Bitcointalk thread from the supplier and questionable details on the specifications of the product - highly likely its a scam or vaporware product.

"The Syan Technologies office is situated here in the heart of Hong Kong, though most of our manufacturing takes place in Shenzhen Province, China. We are a dedicated and highly motivated team of designers, technicians and mathematicians of diverse backgrounds – from as far afield as California, London, Sweden, Russia and Vietnam – with just one thing in common; we aim to design and produce the most cost-efficient and durable ASIC mining machines in the world."

Its actually a nicely designed website for a scam Tongue

Scams can have nice websites, not that hard to hire designers. Weird thing is they (at least say) accept wire transfer, not that easy to run away with money that way. Anybody around that lives in Hong Kong? We have seen scam websites with fake addresses before, let's get someone pay them a visit Smiley
