Hello!
There is a new coin named Copperlark (https://copperlark.com/en) - with SHA3 algorithm.
One developer wrote a pool client for this coin, however there are some questions remained.
The pool client is working so far and gives a possibility to mine on the graphic cards. However the hashrate lies below the expected values of many hundreds of MH/s (like for e.g. bitcoin). The typical 7970 speed does not exceed 25-30 MH/s. So there is some code optimization needed. If someone feels like he can look on the present algorithm and suggest new ideas (as proposals or as a source code) please contact me.

Thanks!

As far as I understand it, CL uses SHA3 instead of the SHA256 of Bitcoin.

This belongs in Alternate Cryptocurrencies though I guess.

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.

actually you are right. But this is more a help request than a discussion about alternate cryptocurrency.
