Thanks, and welcome back, and best wishes to our new family.
I'd like to make a public apology for being critical and overly harsh about Rob and BiblePay (staff, supporters, etc). I rubbed some individuals the wrong way and I apologize my complaints hurt some people's well being. I blamed Rob for PoG Monkey @('_')@ and Crayola ((̲̅ ̲̅(̲̅C̲̅r̲̅a̲̅y̲̅o̲̅l̲̲̅a̲̅( ̲̅((> crashing the blockchain, but I see that I bear some responsibility during a stressful time. There's been a lot of nasty back and forth which I've been a big participant. I'm sorry to drag the community through the ugliness and not showing the world what showing Christ's love is all about. Honestly, healing may never come from this but perhaps with time, prayer, and the Holy Spirit, there can be greater reconciliation. Hi Sun, Although I don't have a lot of time to reply right this second as I am babysitting - I want you to know I accept your apology because I feel that Jesus Christ would want us to make amends for one, and for two, I want you to know I have the love and mercy of God in me. Love is patient and kind and always gives second, and third, and fourth chances as long as both parties are willing to meet in the middle then there is hope. Welcome back. I will ensure your name is not on any ban list.

We have no incidences of crashes; try deleting all your files except wallet dat and resyncing. Also, we would need more info - as you could be referring to something other than a crash. For example, if the wallet exits with a message, post the message as that's not a crash.

After building evolution in ubuntu desktop, do I just do ./biblepayd ? I did that and nothing comes up, although one core was working on the task biblepayd, but then stops. I'm sure that I built it correctly, just not sure how to launch, and the instructions don't seem to say. Thanks!
Edit: I got the daemon to load
./biblepayd -daemon
however would like to know how to launch the GUI.
Try this to launch the gui: cd ~/biblepay-evolution/src/qt ./biblepay-qt

Hey guys, love BBP and love mining! Haven't received a purepool payout since 6/1 and noticed the website said it was in maitenance? I upgraded to Evolution 1.4.3.3 and moved over my wallet.dat from BiblePay Core so I know I'm up to date. Am I correct that purepool is not doing payouts at the moment? Thanks in advance.
& God Bless!

Does anyone know about purepool?

In ubuntu 16.04, double clicking on an unconfirmed transaction causes the wallet to crash. The command line then reads:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

In the leaderboard, is the points column meant to correspond to the owed and prominence columns? I mean it sounds logical. But I see users who have less points and more prominence than others who have more points, how so? The example with the biggest discrepancy is orbis. It's easiest to spot when you sort the leaderboard by prominence and then look at the points column (or vice versa). The numbers should be decreasing from top to bottom, but there are outliers.

Yeah, that's the same issue I was referring to on windows a few pages back - It was supposedly fixed but for some reason its very elusive. You can try starting with -zapwallettxes=1 first, then tell me if it happens again. If not I will try to reproduce it, but I have not been able to reproduce it on my dev ubuntu box yet. Note, if you have time you can run your wallet in valgrind and see if a stack trace is created.

So this gets a little tricky when dealing with multiple projects, but right now all of Orbis' points come from Healing, which has about a 50K reward, but only 5 participants. If you click on "details view" first, see Orbis' points pay much more per point in Healing than in Pog (due to the low number of diary entries - 5). So his prominence % is still correct as a % of the total GSC, and his points are sourced from a project with a higher-reward-per-point currently.

I believe this is fixed now; I was able to reproduce on my windows box, so I just released 1.4.3.3d; if you compile from source please try it. Otherwise we will have to ask MIP to make a release next. Windows has been deployed. (I tested this on my local machine and it appears to have fixed it).

For POG, it looks like the Getting Started with Evolution wiki should mention that the wallet must be unlocked.
When I go to do 'exec sendgscc' I receive the error below. I have bankrolled coins from the original POG, is this the cause of the error?
"Command": "sendgscc", "Error!": "CreateGSCTransmission::Fail::Transaction too large"

No, tx too large means you are trying to make a GSC transmission bigger than 100K (in byte size, not in BBP amount). To solve this, go to coin control, and click "select some" until you have about 90K or so in size, then send this thing to yourself. Then do again if select all results in a size > 100K. Once this is done the GSC tx creator will be able to grab a small enough set. If you dont want to lose your coin-age the only alternative is to set the key which uses less coin-age. pog_coinagepercentage=.10 For example Ill modify the wiki now with Unlock and these 4 keys.

Could anyone plz explain how this POG works in numbers? I tried to get the hang of it over the last 2 days but failed miserably. Here's what's happened: I associated everything, put "pog_coinagepercentage=.50" and "pog_foundationdonation=1000" in the conf and sent one transaction via "exec sendgssc" . Everything worked fine, but I was very surprised to see that on the following superblock my reward was a whopping 15k BBP! After this I tried to send more donations (a couple of 1k and also a large 25k donation). So for the next superblock I had contributed more than 30k BBP. However now my reward was only 1.2k, so actually I lost 30k BBP today! How is this even possible? Also it would be really nice to have the "auto-unlock" feature back for the QT wallet (like we had for PODC), because I hate to leave my wallet unlocked and I usually don't have time to send anything manually. Thx in advance.

Thx in advance. it's all about how many coins you have and the coin age difference between 1k donation and 25k donation everything else the same would only increase your points by like 3x i think if you get 500,000 points from 1k donation getting 1,500,000 points from 25k donation won't help given the current total number of points. also im not sure how it all works exactly but i think the first smaller transactions might've used up some of your coin age as well making the 25k extra not worth it the formula to calculate points is on this page https://wiki.biblepay.org/Generic_Smart_Contracts

Maybe someone else can clarify what unit is. Thanks.

if i understood it, then # of coins and coin age increasing points linearily so if you make transaction from 1m instead of 500k, then you will get 2x more points or if you use coins with age 2 days instead of 1d, then also you will get 2x more points
donation amout is cubed root, so if you donate 1000 instead of 1 bpp, then you will get only 10x more...
but how it works if i have coins fragmented to many piles with different coin ages. for example i make transaction from these coins: 500k with age 2 days 2m with age 5 days
i make donation 1000bbp from amount 2.5m will it be 500k*2*10 + 2m*5*10 = 10m+ 100m= 110m points?

Will be back in a little while, but in the mean time Dave you can do an 'exec getpoints txid' on the first tx, then on the second. I hypothesize on the first one you had all that unspent coin age (like the guys said here) and on the second you had very little age.
We do have the autounlock feature but its accessed from the command line now: ./biblepay-cli headlesspassword password
In the GSC world we have more a free-floating system where people can donate higher if they want at their own risk; I think it will stabilize once we have more like 500 participants and mature a little more then we will get a hang of what safe values we can tithe (also we will have a stable 24 hour coin age to spend daily by that time). We can also make a wallet tool to output ROI, that would be a good one.
