It might sound stupid but some activity on the C-CEX and SxC Chats could help. If people start talking about BBP in their chat, it might take the attention of some of the traders there.
I remember that a big volume on RC coin some time ago was caused by someone commenting something on the chat. Believe it or not, this is free advertisement targeting people who are already operating on the exchange. I don't know... It is just an idea.
I'm sure that if we all start commenting on positive things about BBP, it might take their attention.

Good idea. Let's list some of the positive aspects of BBP that we can chat about ...

Charitable Christian crypto-currency
10% goes to sponsor orphans
Earn BBP by helping researchers find cures for diseases
Profitable Masternode investment
Innovative ways to share the Gospel of Jesus

Dimarzio123 we did it ... ROB proscribed it ... so? its sick .. it looks like bussiness 2 guys= TOGO+ROB = Rob controling all with his 100+ masternodes ... he was scammed by any idiot from telegram/discord,cos he is noob for this.....thinks he has eaten the whole wisdom of the world and yes, 800k for nothing is un-christian

i filled almost 14+ forms for BBP= all exchanges answered me......then im stopped next communications with all exchanges with SVK NOKO ....

znfall= you can state, you saw almost all emails from my friend

hotbit,bit-z,c2cx,livecoin,bibox,sistemkoin,Cryptonex,coinone,kucoin,bitforex,quoine,fatbtc,b2bx,dobi,simex,kraken, pkman´s idea with gate.io gate.io too

Slovakia filled out application forms for exchanges with no regard to the ones already being filled by Luke.  Luke maintains a spreadsheet with who he has contacted.

Next, Slovakia answered a lot of questions incorrectly (IE he guessed) as he thought it was a game, with the end goal to be listed (not understanding that is dangerous as it could ban us from the exchange), nor does he understand the integration phase.

Next he asked us to pay 1.5 btc to a scammer on bitfinex because he didnt do any due diligence.

Next the hilarious thread he forwarded to me (which he thought he was doing a service for us to be PAID for) was laced with profanity and uninteligible answers to the exchange.  Then he started asking me for answers.

I said you are doing more harm than good for us, and in no way should we enter a proposal to compensate you for degrading our community, and politely asked him to stop doing work on this and leave it to Luke.

Otoh, Togo does real quality work for Biblepay each month, doesnt it take hours to man the social media platforms?  If hes not spending 40 hours per month doing this and writing wiki pages please let us know.

Here is one Togo created yesterday:
http://wiki.biblepay.org/UnderstandingGovernance

And on a side note Ive been working 4 hours extra per night on a Biblepay related project called DAHF; its finance related.  Our progress is not stalling, Im still working full time on Biblepay.  When I moved to the new house, I had a lull while moving my office - which will be reflected in the hours for the month of June, but timewise things are back to normal now.

Just wanted to point out most of this article is just a "copy-paste" from other websites/articles.

He might have added a "reference", aka where he just copied the stuff from (which is plagiarism from an academic point of view since 98% of it is from the other website...) but it is nonetheless still just a copy-paste, changing a few things here and there ("Dash" with "BiblePay", etc..)

http://listverse.com/2018/08/01/10-dark-and-ungodly-christian-beliefs/

funny, that is always the first thing christians say when confronted with the old testament "bad shit".

fun fact: jesus upheld the old testament in multiple places. and it added hell, eternal damnation and all those other fun things.

the new testament is WAY worse then the old one. even if you ignore the old one, the new one is much, much worse so i dont really see why people are so quick to dismiss the old one. also: the new one refers to the old one more then 200 times. you cant have the new one without the old one.

I'll answer this; in a politically correct and Christian way.

No, true Christians are able to answer these very easily as God is not a God of confusion.

The new testament is not worse than the Old; it says love your neighbor as yourself, and do away with tooth for a tooth.  Of course you cant have the new without the old; both are true and historical.  Of course Jesus referred to the Old, he is the one who created the Church Age; the New Testament started after Jesus was crucified.

To specifically address your 10 point attack on Christianity:

Slaves Should Be Good Subjects To Their Masters, Both The Gentle And The Harsh:
The Heathen claims this means the old testament approved of having slaves.  No, in reality, more dimensions exist (including Heaven & Hell), and we are all bondservants of Jesus.  God is setting an example that IF you are in position of being a slave, you MUST do a good job and happily serve and perform your duties.  Jesus says in the New Testament to perform well with all your heart.  You are judged for idle words and abusing your temple for unrepented sin.  We are commanded to respect authority, and pay our taxes.  All this goes to receive Well done Good and Faithful servant, I will put you in charge of many things (in Heaven).  This life is but a test, a flash in the pan of how you interact and manage your resources and will dictate your level of responsibility later in Heaven.

You may beat your slaves:
The heathen claims this means God allows harsh punishment.  Actually the verse says this:
"He that striketh his bondman or bondwoman with a rod, and they die under his hands, shall be guilty of the crime. But if the party remain alive a day or two, he shall not be subject to the punishment, because it is his money.—Exodus 21:20–21"
All God is doing is setting a standard in the time of the Law, and some slaves, both you and I deserve chastisement, and chastisement is good for a man lest he grow up to be a lawbreaker.

Women Found Not To Be Virgins On Their Wedding Day Should Be Stoned:
Remember this is for the Israelites, and those are Gods chosen people.  Hes not playing around when he said he wants a virgin woman to be available for a virgin man, and the marriage bed to be sacred.  Learn the definition of fornication and adultery as the bible teaches it.  God is setting the standard that the community may stone a woman who lies to her new husband about this, and shows how serious it is.  And I agree with it.

The next 3 are really the same; high standard for Israelites and an initiation for the Law.

If Someone You Love Tries To Tempt You Away From God, They Should Be Put To Death:
"If thy brother the son of thy mother, or thy son, or daughter, or thy wife that is in thy bosom, or thy friend, whom thou lovest as thy own soul, would persuade thee secretly, saying: Let us go, and serve strange gods, which thou knowest not, nor thy fathers,"
This is an easy one:  Gods chosen people are not supposed to practice Idolatry.  If you are a heathen, and you listen to Jim Morrison say HEY! Lets start a new religion!  You might not be offended.  But as a Christian who knows Jesus is really the son of God, I am deeply offended.  We dont need to float the idea or joke of a new religion here.  In the same way, God is highly offended if one of his chosen sons attempt to lure a brother or sister to a false God.

God Commanded His People To Commit Genocide:
"Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I have reckoned up all that Amalec hath done to Israel: I how he opposed them in the way when they came up out of Egypt." 1 Samuel 15
So here the heathen is saying that God will quickly and easily get mad and tell one of his tribes to go and commit genocide by killing another tribe, because hes insensitive or hotheaded.
No, if you read the old testament you will get the idea that the Caanites and the Baals had a very bad practice of offering up children to Satan (they let their firstborn pass through the fire) and the worshipped idols.  The Amalekites followed the Babylonian idolatry and practices of child burning and sexual immorality and torturing each other publically and God sees all this and judges unrepentant sin.  In his opinion, to leave the cancer grow was worse than cutting it out.  And that can also happen to a gay nation, abortion nation or Sodom & Gomorrah.

Hey guys, For those who do not know me, My name is Togo

I am not a PR guru, I have no formal experience,
(I actually do not like titles, they box people in, and Ive never wanted to be a specialist, but a generalist, anyways I digress)

I worked some years in software development, and in my free time have run some popular videogame servers,
I got into crypto a year ago and was looking to learn how to mine and found BiblePay,

I didnt think Id get involved, but I ended up writing the mining guides,
and the next thing you know Im running an explorer and running the reddit and twitter

Later on I became the second person to write a proposal to request funding for work I was doing for BiblePay (Rob was the first)

Thanks, Togo and all for the support provided.

Togo, I would give a try to the Chat "advertisement" in C-CEX and SxC (more in a few posts above).  It has to be something coordinated. Maybe we can all agree to do it together during one day to see what happen. It's free and there is nothing to lose.

I am a fan of this, whenever possible, in any communication network, bring up BiblePay Cheesy
when I am watching the BiblePay exchanges I make posts in the chat box Wink But I only watch very little haha

Yes our proposal was rejected. And? This is your argument? You are the one paid from the budget so you should put the output on the table.
And is true that this is the reason why i started to look closer on proposals. And im terrified from that.

I realised that all proposals are from 2-3 ppl. Robs proposals? Ok. He is coding all time. Lets approve him all proposals, he is making this as full time job. I fully agree.

But sorry, PR guys i really dont know what is your real output for bbp grow. One hour chat one hour advertising one our social one hour dead qiex one hour dead cryptobridge one hour and so on and all this in the circle month by month. I dont understad how this should help in grow. In meantime bbp price is dead liquidity is terrible i can say is almost zero.

I really dont know what you have done in july for 800k of bbp? Real outputs, results.

Hello Biblepay.

I think it is wiser to include personal beliefs and Bible related topics in a separate ''faith discussion forum''. I understand that Biblepay is a crypto coin for Christians and also aims to spread the gospel, which is good. But within this forum it does not add value and does not contribute to getting Biblepay further. Do not misunderstand me. But within this forum I think we should mainly focus on how to get Biblepay further. It is a wonderful project and we must keep the eye's on the target.

Greetings

Dear Flengshu,

I appreciate your perspective.  If it was a year ago, I probably would have agreed with you as I am an organized person.  As a matter of fact thats why I started forum.biblepay.org, so we can have multiple specific threads to discuss off-topic ideas.

However in this case, I feel that we are entering into the final phase of the church age, and if we are not already here, we are entering the end-times according to the major prophets (like Sundar Selvaraj for example).

One of my goals with Biblepay is to spread the gospel to geeks.  If we had a specific chatroom for religion, the non-Christians would not have to read this stuff.

In this case, I prefer to bring up the fire and brimstone topics as necessary in an effort to spread the gospel of Jesus to the lukewarm or non believers.

Note that we will have even more threads soon as we kickstart the finance thread, so one other aspect is is to not have 'too many' otherwise we will not have time to intelligently visit all of them.

TheSnat, I believe your txlist filter worked, but we still have relatively slow "LoadBlockIndex" times during the initial wallet load for only 60,000 blocks.

I'll take care of looking into optimizing the later phase of "Memorizing Prayers" myself, but one thing you may be able to help on is take a look at LoadBlockIndexGuts and see if there is something in there slowing down the load time.  Its taking about 30 seconds to perform the LoadBlockIndex phase itself, before moving on to memorizeprayers, so I think maybe you can put a test harness on that piece and see what piece of data inside that function is actually slowing down each loop.

To my knowledge we havent veered from Dash's load block index guts - except we have our transaction.vout[n].sTxOutMessage on each transaction (which stores our prayers and podc information).

No problem.

Looks like you have RAC, and stake,  I would slow down your PODC until you get more BBP stake, right now you're at the 20% bucket. if you go higher than 3700 RAC you will be too low for a payment with that stake.

You have 4 podcupdate's,  so if things continue you should be in tomorrows superblock, then able to help in POBH mining.

Update.

Its working just fine now it seems just like you said.

It's curious that QIEX (which was never high volume) has essentially run out of buy orders, and CB is pretty close to that as well. SouthXChange and C-CEX have more, but a depth chart will show that those are at pretty ridiculously low prices.

I know we've been talking about opening more exchanges, but at some point I would propose that you need a critical mass of volume to make opening another more worthwhile. I understand that more markets give more opportunities for arb, etc. and open us to a wider audience, but if demand isn't there, should we consider focusing on that problem instead?

I love the airdrop plans, and I'm really curious to see if that spreads some awareness/demand - this community right now is small but tight, and to scale, we will need to find ways to embrace people at a slightly lower level of participation, and also accept that some will be in just for the money (although there are plenty of other coins they could trade for that).

In some ways this is a theoretical problem, but for us to continue our mission of supporting the charities and doing the work we want, we also need to be able to convert to fiat as necessary, which requires trading demand. Thoughts?

Yes. I think this issue should be forwarding to our PR guru togo. Where are the real results from your permanent PR proposals? For example in july about 300k bbp?

Sorry. My fault. For july its 800k together. 500k first half of july, 300k second half.

Bitcoin is in a bear market. As a trader, you wouldn't want to have too much exposure in a BTC bear.  It's dragging down the Alts.  C-Cex re-opening at the end of August should help some.

The other thing to do, which I have said, is to go directly to the churches and tell them that by buying BBP they are supporting orphans.  The buyers are the ones who support the orphans.  Whenever I have mentioned going directly to the churches everyone is  just not into that idea. But if you want a consistent bid under BBP, I think that is the way to go.

It's obvious the volume from the latest superblock hasn't come through the exchanges in a big way; cumulative volume has barely been over 1M.

Agreed the current market is not helping us any..  Strange though DOGE can keep its price fairly stable, but BBP is declining steadily.  Hope this trend reverses soon

I was listening to Melissa from Midnight Hour Oil and she makes a good point that some Christians who have a chance to witness to people on a train to hell would rather give them an ice cube rather than do the hard work and explain they are on the train to hell.

All these people are going to Hell (unless they repent and turn to Jesus):

  • Homosexuals, Lesbians and the LGBT
  • Those who worship Allah, Buddah, Indian Gods, and non-Messianic Jews who are waiting for the Messiah
  • Adulterers and Fornicators
  • Those practicing witchcraft
  • Chronic Drunks & Drug Abusers
  • Those who hold grudges and do not forgive men/women
  • Anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus

Next time you know you are in a situation where you can make a difference, enlighten them.

She says:  we are not here to fit in with the crowd.  We are meant to stand out, like a lamp on a hill.
