I bought some coins today from stocks.exchange & transferred to my wallet. Found out later on that I'm in the wrong chain (after sending to my wallet address), what can I do in this case? I downloaded a new wallet (1.7.1) which was on the correct chain, saved the wallet.dat & copied that to the new wallet; waited for the sync to finish, but the balance still shows as 0 despite having 200+ confirmations.

Here's the blockchain explorer: http://185.223.31.170:3001/tx/072c77482a4e5ac0daa6d3f7a4660bf537fe2a0925ecb55d71c23e0d734d4686

Would appreciate the help in figuring this out!

Open the wallet console and type repairwallet, this should fix your balance

Wallet release: v1.7.1

This update has the following changes
  • Seed nodes update
  • Chain split on block 55751 Patched

WAIT, A chain split?

Yeah, a chain split happened at block 55751 for unknown reasons, i have been working on it last dawn and everything should be fine on this version

Do i really need to update?

No, only if you are having syncing problems OR you are on the wrong chain

But how i verify if i am on the wrong chain?

Simply type this command on your wallet console

Code:
getblockbynumber 60000
Compare the hash with the block 60000, that is d4d19c36c9c343b6dbe4ac782cdb8ec9dfe86827fb3274ff1b3e8de380f26228, if it is different, you are on the wrong chain!

Wait wait, did i lost my coins?

No, you didnt lost any coins, you may have lost some stakes but when you change your chain, the coinage will make your next stake a pretty big one

So, i figured out that i am on the wrong chain, how i can fix it?

Simply close your wallet and go to %appdata% then rename the aerium folder to aeriumbackup, create a new aerium folder, copy the wallet.dat from aeriumbackup to aerium, you might want to backup the wallet.dat to somewhere else too.
Now, start your wallet again on the v1.7.1 and wait it to sync!

Windows Qt: https://github.com/aeriumcoin/Aerium/releases/download/v1.7.1/aerium-qt.zip
Mac: Coming soon...

I always had last version wallet installed 24h max after release, wallet open 24/24, but for the last 15 days my wallet was out of sync.
I installed v1.7.1 and it still wasn't able to sync, blocked at block 46933.
I removed the blockchain and re-downloaded it.
I had around 225 AERM before now I only have 81 AERM and last stake is 12/17/17!!!!
What the fuck? Did I just lose 2/3 of my wallet while doing nothing wrong?

Aerium dev, can I have an answer please?

Crypto Bridge would be ideal. Decentralized exchanges for the win!

This coin is the coin with the lowest capitalization in coinmarketcap, I think AERM needs a bigger exchange, not only in stock exchange, but other exchanges are also needed, such as cryptopia

Yea, Cryptopia or Bittrex Smiley

By the way, let's staking!

Read more about POS mining: https://discord

Start POS mining here: https://stakeunited.com
Smiley

Maybe Cryptopia could happen, but bittrex is just way out of our league! Tongue
With high volume now we have 3 BTC, not bad on the current exchange though.

If Aerium gets more development and attention, then maybe. But the listing fee would need a donation from community. I dont know how much it is, but probably almost as much as the current mcap hehe.

kucoin recently seems to be a good choice, abundant funds, each one of the coins are taking turns, which attracted a lot of new entrants

Start your wallet, replace the wallet.dat from %appdata%\aerium with yours and restart your wallet.

Promising project with a great vision. Pure POS is likely the future of cryptocurrency. Interesting that it is a skunkhash coin.

Just bought in to this, not hugely but enough for me. All worked well for me no issues downloading the wallet and nice coins arrived they were staking within around an hour.

Showing as a return within 1 day at the moment as well so pleased with that. Would definitely recommend.

I'm glad to see the project is still alive and the dev still here, working on it. I must admit I had my doubts.

Now I just hope the permanent 1000% stake rate does not kill it.

I've been using stakeunited, https://stakeunited.com/rajboot, pool to stake my OPCs and it's been staking good and receiving free coins without having to run desktop wallet.

One question to all online staker. In the past there were many hacks on exchanges. Are you not concerned to lose your coins?
