According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I cannot say too much about Eventchain, but I have looked into Powerledger, and although it is in the energy sector that I believe will have a great future, I do not like the structure of their ICO, with an amount of tokens issued irrespective of funds raised. SO clearly the upside only remains with themselves.

Energy is the future, but solid projects such as Prosume Energy,

Event chain is a great project with a great competent team  behind the project. What is concerning though is that they are quickly getting competition. We all know that the Crypto space is all about hype. I see the newer projects being hyped more. And noobs love hype... Personally I would put my money on event chain than hyped projects.

I think eventchain and powerledger and both just hype. Don't get me wrong, they are good projects but too much competition and hype.
