Author Topic: CEX.IO SWIFT problem ! Almost lost money (2,000 USD) and No answer !!!  (Read 377 times)

Has anybody experienced a SWIFT transaction problem with CEX.IO? I had made a transaction of 2000 USD on 06.10.2017, and my bank told me that the money was in receiver's (CEX.IO) account 2 days later. However, after a complete 2 weeks period, there is neither that money in my balance nor a satisfactory answer from the cex.io team. The help link (using Zendesk) is not working.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

I dont understand what is the problem with SWIFT Code.every bank has SWIFT Code for international money transfer.you need contract with Support@cex.io with your receipt of your bank transfer they will assist you.

Can you please add some more details about your issue? Once I've been sending a ticket to their support I got a respond in about 5 days, they are slow af (just try to stay calm and wait for respond). Does all your account data match with your bank account? All exchanges  have very strict policy about money laundering so you have to be the original owner bank account etc.

Likely the only guys that would be able to help you out is the people from CEX.IO.

If you do not get an answer after a few days, post a scam accusation here on the forum. They'll for sure do some action since their name will get tarnished here, which is the biggest source of users of crypto. Also, a lot of writers for crypto news, blogs, and whatever information source reads here, being a big company CEX.IO is they will not like bad publicity since they require a huge trust from their users.

Just be sure you can provide good evidence before you initiate that scam accusation though.

The payment still hasn't arrived. 15 calendar days have expired.
Support has answered: "We kindly ask you do not worry, your payment is under review of our Compliance department. As soon as they will verify your payment your funds will be credited to your account immediately"
