Why is everyone against bitcoin cash? Is it only because you hold bitcoin?

Don't you think it's good to have bigger blocks and faster transactions? Makes bitcoin currencies more mainstream

All I know is that it detracts from and competes with bitcoin.  The publicity from this attack can only be bad for the price of whichever coin ends up on top.

It's a real concerted attack, with miners deserting BTC and the BCH price being being pumped at the same time.  Is there also a flood of BTC transactions happening at the same time?

I can't sell my BCH because I want to move my BTC off the same addresses first, and transactions aren't being confirmed fast enough.  Currently 46 minutes since the last block.

Why is everyone against bitcoin cash? Is it only because you hold bitcoin?

because it is harming bitcoin. you don't see people go around and say how they hate XYZ coin when they get pumped! that is because any other altcoin getting pumped just means that altcoin getting pumped and some traders shift and enjoy the profit.
but when bitcoin cash gets pumped that means hashrate travels from bitcoin to bitcoin cash and when hashrate drops on bitcoin network it leads to slower network so to speak. blocks are found slower and that leads to this huge back log and then the higher fees.

all damages caused by bitcoin cash. you can see be fore the BCH pump bitcoin was fine, no back log, empty mempool and extremely low fees!

After sigwit2x cancelled, it was expected that BCH will be the first priority for people looking for their money to invest. Bitcoin will be back up soon as this BCH pump goes down.

After sigwit2x cancelled, it was expected that BCH will be the first priority for people looking for their money to invest. Bitcoin will be back up soon as this BCH pump goes down.

Please give me a link for the news (about sigwit2x cancelled). This is really beyond my scenario and the news is very surprising to me. But bitcoin will remain strong despite a lot of pressure with bitcoin.

I hope this attack will finish soon, i believe in bitcoin but if the price will go down 5k i will start panicking.
Maybe this attack will make bitcoin stronger then before, who knows! at the meantime, the community have to figure out a way to stop such attacks in the future.
Anyway, i think it is a good opportunity for traders to make extra profit, a trader should know what to do even in bad situations.

I will agree with the author of the post: patience, friends, do not get rid of Bitcoin. What is going on now with BCH is nonsense. There will be an end of Bitcoin Cash pump. It is done on purpose to push folks sell their BTC.

I think bitcoin is now use to with different challenges and bitcoin know how to face these challenges in past bitcoin face banned from different countries and also there was a different fork have come on the way of bitcoin so this time again if any challenge come toward bitcoin I’m quitsure that bitcoin will defeat it because people support bitcoin.

I don't think that bitcoin will go down i think that bitcoin will keep going higher and higher in value. So i will keep investing and keep making money.

My BTC transactions has been sitting for almost 2days now.

How much did you even put for a fee? and how big is your bitcoin transaction?
Yes, Bitcoin might be under attack but, I sent some bitcoins to my friend without having any problems (Yes, the fee might be big at this time) I set it to 90 Sats/b and it took like 30 Mins to 1 Hour to get confirmed without any problems.

The situation is already back to normal after the BCH price started to fall now the number of pending transactions is about 60K,it has been significantly lowered in two days.So you can make the transactions as always.But the fee is little bit higher due to the pending transaction is higher than the normal level of pending transaction which is about 30K .

Even bitcoin is under attack it keeps on being strong. This is what is killing bitcoin and ethereum could replace bitcoin's market cap.  The uncertainty of bitcoin or bitcoin cash as the replacement has miners going from verifying bitcoins to bitcoin cash, and it is creating a spike in bitcoin cash's price.  I thought that bitcoin would be her to stay, which is more than likely, but it shouldn't have to worry about bitcoin cash taking over a majority of miners while bitcoin is waiting for transactions to clear. Bitcoin is as strong as a money currency nowadays.

Having the belief to btc will not gonna put us in vain and it looks like the BCH bubble is slowly popping out, getting the price from $3000 down to $1000 that still continues to dump.

The transaction will also slowly getting back to normal as I tested out to pass a some sats to my Friends wallet and got confirmed within 1 hour so it is not bad because i used to increase the transaction fee a bit.

It looks like that this attack make's bitcoin more expensive as it is getting to $8000 very soon because btc suddenly jumps to a price of $7454 which is a promising one.

This doesn't mean its an attack. Some group has been trying to pump the price value of bitcoin cash causing price drop with bitcoin. This hasn't sustained long, and now the price of bitcoin had got retained and towards new ath while bitcoin cash after reaching close to $2000 seems slipped towards $1000.

Btc has finally retrieved and BCH's temporary pump is finally and gradually getting over. BTC is once again set to reach new all time high.

The difficulties doesn't seem to go for bitcoin . Now Koreans are backing up BCH .
Even though many people are dumping bitcoin and backing up BCH , bitcoin value has still come to $7.2 k . I seriously don't understand why there are so many panics through out the bitcoin community . In the past , many people have backed up an another altcoin but they ultimately ended up coming back to bitcoin . All the difficulties faces during the transactions and the mining fees will be back to normal as soon as bitcoin regain its highest value ( which is already in progress).

Care to explain what is actually here? It seems to me that there is some sort of a silent panic happening all over the Bitcoin holders worldwide. Some are listening to the FUD that Bitcoin is about to die and be replaced by Bitcoin Cash soon...how true can that be? This is one of the most uncomfortable times to be in cryptocurrency where people in the same industry are killing each other...oh I forgot it is all about greed and opportunism...we are still dogs anyway!

I don't think any of this is really being perpetuated by FUD, I'd be more inclined to believe a lot of the market happenings are because of the pump for BCH (which is having its own fork iirc and they're trying to pump it so it stays relevant, along with take a ton of money in the process). There was a selloff of BTC, followed by the BCH pump, I have a feeling the two are closely related and a lot of whales were the cause of the market movements. There isn't anything else that would have caused the market to experience a downturn, of course, unless my predictions of a correction finally happening were true.

Still positive from where it was before though. It's not like Bitcoin is in the negatives, and this very well may have been a bubble.

That's because they weren't. It was the Chinese. Bitmain switched to mining it, slowing down the Bitcoin network as a result.
I've read that the Chinese government could ban mining. This should be the end of BCH pump and the Chinese manipulation. It wasn't an attack on Bitcoin but rather a way to make money on BCH pumping, but we can see by the falling prices that it did not go as planned. Or did it?
