APW3 power cord 220 volt question

Hi, I had posted in another section of the forum and told to move here, hopefully this is the correct section, such a newbie

I have a 220V outlet wired on it's own 30 Amp circuit, wired by an electrician.  He installed a 4-Prong Dryer outlet, the NEMA 14-30P.  I am trying to connect and run one APW3-1600 watt power supply for an S7.  I have the power supply, miner and I see the plug on the power supply is the standard computer C13.  I have found it next to impossible to find an adapter from C-13 to any style of 220 plug.  I'm pretty creative and handy and not above putting something together with a standard dryer cord and a dissected c-13 cord but I really want to do this right and with 220 - it's serious business.  Can I get some advice on the safest/best way to connect my APW3 to my 220 outlet.
I'm really hoping there is some way of doing this that doesn't involve me paying for another semester of college for the electrician's kids!  He was expensive!  
I'll only be running this one power supply on the outlet/circuit and am looking for a less is more approach at this point.  I didn't think sourcing the power cord would be such a big deal.

Yes, I agree I should have asked!! 
I thought I had more time - he came by to do the work when I was out of town.
Now I'm going to try and work with what I got. 

Yes, that it the exact outlet style I have.  My limited understanding is that the hot are the two vertical prongs, top is ground (round hole) and bottom is neutral (90 degree angle hole "L").

This is the one instance I would say it sucks your electrician followed codes, did you tell him it was for a dryer? If he had run a 3 wire circuit you could have switched out the receptacle in a couple of minutes. How long is the cable run? You could always disconnect the circuit and fish through a new wire, by pulling through from the receptacle. I doubt they opened up your walls and tacked cable in place.
It might be better in the long run. If they didn't charge to much it might be worth having them come back

There should be no issue with replacing a NEMA 14 socket with a NEMA 6 (or L6) type socket.
The wiring is all there after all - just don't USE the neutral wire.

There ARE adapters (often used for motor homes) to connect a NEMA L6-30 plug to a NEMA 14 socket.
Places like Home Depot, Menards, or Lowes should have those in stock.

Most Power Distribution Units are designed to work with a LOCKING version of the NEMA 6 socket, not the standard non-locking version.

Reuse of the range breaker should be fine *IF* it is a 30 amp breaker and is still functional.

If you're having an electrician do the work anyway, easier to just have him put *2* (or even 3 to 4 given your intended usage) standard NEMA 6-15 single outlets on the circuit to match your power cord.
Then you have somewhere to plug in a second (third fourth) S9 if you go that route.
Then you don't need a PDU at all.
