Don't know if this has been mentioned at all yet, but I just came across this on HardOCP.  That shouldn't hurt Bitcoin to much.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

This is good stuff. Although I wasn't planning to sell or buy any BTC, I'll sign up as an exchange just in case anyone in my area wants to get into BTC (it's a bit difficult from Israel right now).

We've done a few trades with Israel. I can put you in contact with a few people we trust over there if you want.
If it's large transfers it's not bad, if it's small then you take a beating from the banks.

The kind of base that HARDOCP has can mean nothing but good things for exposure.  Although it's a bit dated, the GPU comparison is a nice touch.

Most people in the comments know what they're talking about. This is surprising compared to most places.

Thanks Jered. In fact my reply was accidental, I meant to reply to this wonderful post. In Israel I currently know only bitcoil, and they appear to be closed for the time being. Do you know anyone else who'se exchanging? I just wanted to help support the local bitcoin community, not actively looking to exchange money.

Also, I was hoping TradeHill would start supporting ILS ... any idea when that's going to happen? (I realize we're a small and relatively insignificant market, but I wouldn't want us to be left behind)
