Yes, it OK to send BTC now, it always is. Confirmation times will depend on the fee you pay and the current transactions queued up in the mempool. The last few days there has been a large backlog that is now clearing out slowly.

You can see that here.
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

If your pending transactions have a fee of about 270 sats/byte they should confirm quite soon. If the fee is lower you may need to wait a bit longer.

If you post the tx ids here we could probably estimate for you or possibly help get them through quicker.

I don’t mind paying the highest fees, what I care about is not to get stuck

I’ll check my wallet and select highest possible fees, if there are recommended fees, what should I put there?

What about Jaxx (iOS) and coinomi on android?

It's more a question of selecting the optimum fee at any moment in time as it changes and there is no point spending more than you need to. Sometimes 10 sats/byte will get confirmed almost immediatly but yesterday 1000 sat/byte would have been needed.

I’ll check my wallet and select highest possible fees, if there are recommended fees, what should I put there?

This site has a good estimate of what is needed at any time.

Edit: They seem to have messed the formatting up, scroll down to "Which fee should I use?"

What about Jaxx (iOS) and coinomi on android?

I'm not familiar with either of these wallets. I use Electrum and I prefer to use the advanced option to manually select fees. If that is available on either of these wallets then use that.

Yesterday, I paid $14 for my transactions and it took about a couple of hours to transfer. I assume it is ok now, just make sure to select the highest fee so yours will be in the priority list. Good luck.

Thanks guys for all your replies, you gave me hope. I just had a feeling I j3st ended up with an “entry” in my wallet, just an entry. So I can still trade, buy, sell...

Is there a difference between importing a wallet and sending to another address in speed or fees?

Thanks

I hope I'm understanding what you mean by importing a wallet correctly when I answer this, if not you'll have to explain the question a bit more.

Bitcoin only exists on the blockchain, a database. The coin is sent to an address and only the owner of the private key for that address can spend it. Your wallet is just a way for you to see what is in your addresses and create transactions. You can import your private keys into a different wallet (if supported by the wallet) and spend from there. So there is no transaction happening if you do that and therefore there are no fees.

Yes, your last 2 sentence was what I mean.
In this case it gets done instantly no confirmations, no fees... right?

I am still worried about confirmations, this is why I thought of importing.

The unconfirmed transactions right this moment is 122556 unconfirmed transactions. It is getting better and better and it is always been ok to send Bitcoin just be reminded that it will may take time before the transaction gets confirmed and also There are many free services in the service area if you want to speed up your transaction. goodluck

You got it, no fees. All you are doing is accessing the database from a different client. If you have the private key you can spend from anywhere. That's why it is so important to safeguard them.

I do just want to check for one possible misunderstanding. You are not confusing "import private keys" with "sweep". That is completely different as it uses your keys to request a transaction that you will get charged for.

Any advise highly appreciated.

Thank you

No it is not.
unconfirmed still too high

Always check here first.
https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
108007 Unconfirmed Transactions

Any thing over 9000 unconfirmed , it is not safe to send unless you want to pay insane fees or want to wait days.

Use Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin when Core BTC is broken, which is most of the time now.

Transactions are being confirmed at the moment but the most important thing is that, you will have to input a higher transaction fee so that your transaction will be confirmed very early.  I don't know whether your unconfirmed transaction is labeled an RBF cos you could input a higher fee to confirm early.

I think still the problem persist because my transaction is also not confirmed yet already 24 hours passed so it is better to wait for some more days to all the conditions become normal. The current blockage is due to the lot of people transferring BTC to BCH due to the price bump in BCH,but again the people are transferring BCH to BTC due to the BTC price increase,so still many transaction will takes place in the short time so the fees will be high and confirmation time also long.I suggest you to keep in your wallet for one more weeks to become all the situation back to normal.

If you are owner of the wallet means you will be able to import the bitcoins from the one wallet to another wallet. Your private key is must need information to do that. To send the bitcoin to another wallet that is very easy to send the bitcoin from the software or online wallet with their pre defined buttons in that. Some wallets have the option to modify the default fees for the transaction. If the that stucked you can use accelerator to faster the transaction.

I think it depends on some factors we are not well aware. A transaction in bitflyer was confirmed in less than 1 hour, while one in coincheck is not yet confirmed even after 5-6 hours, but if you delay sending BTC, it will take more time to confirm, I guess.

You can still perform normal transactions but if you want it to be processed fast I suggest you pay a high fee for that transaction.

My transactions from Friday evening finally went through this morning.  First time I've had to wait that long.  I'll check on the fees from now on, there are times when low fees are no problem and times when it's best to increase them.  Good to know that even if they do get stuck, the system works eventually.

I think the OP means that he/she wants to make a transaction with a normal fee. All of us know that transactions can be confirmed soon with high fees.

At the time of posting there are 113000 unconfirmed transaction. So the problem hasn't been solved.

Are you using SegWit address? If not, I would not recommend sending transactions now if you need that money urgently.
